The Burger's Priest new location??
Was the letdown big enough for you that you will not go back at all or just that the Stockyards are better and if timing is not an issue you rather go there?
I would rather eat the bowling shoes!!!!! [The Ballroom]
Wonder if this will be the same type of thing with ping pong instead of bowling, being just down the street, an upscale sporting experience for the young downtown crowd with disposable income to part ways with.

PEPSI Throwback- have you seen it?

Longo's take-home food
Living at Yonge and Eglington, I have not shopped at Longo's that much, the chickens sound good, is their product selection pretty consistent across the chain.
Bar Italia- great for large groups!
That sounds like a great time, was it a prefix menu/how much a person did it cost? So many choices did you have on your limited menu. I am in the early stages of planning a birthday and your post has caught my attention.
Winterlicious at Canoe
Some of the talk here makes me long for the days of 54th. I know Canoe has been here for a while, but who remembers the 54th, what an old school way, red meat and liquor, to make a pop culture reference it was something out of the "Mad Men" era. I am 33 so I remember going there with my dad as a kid and it was so classic.
What are the Best Steakhouses?
I am still partial to Bardi's on York Street, one of the true classic oldschool steakhouses, I know it might not appeal to the younger crowd looking for inovative food but I love it. The likes of Bardi's, Hys, Barbarians etc. still have that charm to me that some of the newer places lack, I guess it all depends on your mood at the time.
Is fine dining at lunch in Toronto a dying experience?
In this enviroment and times a changing ss fine dining at lunch in Toronto a dying experience? I think with expense accounts flowing no where near as much these days if at all in some cases and resturants changing their direction, becoming more casual is this the case. I think the JK announcement shows this along with what some of the other chefs around town are doing.
I think the days of a resturant tayloring itself towards the expense account crowd are in the past, I think it is suicide if you do that, great tasting food does not have to cost an arm and a leg.
Lunch and dinner are two completely different animals.
What to try at Ki?
We all know what KI is, the bar is for the after work crowd looking to be scene and the expense account crowd. I mean most high end restaurants downtown would be up the creek without expense accounts. I also think that when a huge amount of their clientele is not actually paying for it, the restaurant knows it and it reflects in their food.
JK church street cafe now open.
Have not been to JK in ages, maybe even a couple years, is this in the location as the old resturant?
I remember when he opened the resturant followed by the wine bar. I think at one point the wine bar could have a hour wait and the resturant at the same time be less than half full. I am sirprised that they were never really able to shorten the wait by diverting people to the resturant.
What was your favourite restaurant that went downhill after they solidified their status
What was your restaurant that went downhill after they solidified their status, it could have been because of a chef change, a renevation that just changed its character, I think for most people it would be higher end fine dining resto but I am curious to know what you think?
Oliver Bonacini recommendation needed

Personal Chef for Private Party
My mom was a part of a group of ladies that had Jamie Kennedy cater their dinner at my mothers friends house, it was about 100.00 a person minus the wine. It was back in the Palmerston days so I am not sure what the cost would be today.
