well hotdogs, but it is in the bronx, a hotdog Papaya style for 50cents. Only really cheap eats I know for under a dollar is in the Bronx. The hotdog place is on Fordham Road and Jerome Ave, off the 4 train going towards Valentine Ave. HUGE HUGE pizza slices looks like if you put 3 reg slices together, so one slice literally feeds 3 that is also in the Bronx on Castle Hill. the Slice costs 1.50. Inwood and Washington Hieghts, Spanish food, You can get pastellitoes, kipes and the like. Walk down 207 street from broadway to Nagel. Great Shop on 207 and Nagel names Fruitopia, they sell OUTSTANDING empanadas for 1 dollar, filled with cheese, chicken or beef, 1.50 have shrimp or vegetables.

well http://www.vladabar.com/ is a good place, cafe gray in or near the time warner building, The noodle shop across from Sony Pictures but that is on 66 and broadway, Whole Foods Bar in the Time Warner Building always has great grub, all kinds of food, asian, indian, and good for you to boot. You are right tons of Italian resturant in that area, Bombay Eats is Indian located on 314 W 52nd St, Btwn 8th & 9th Ave. Try www.menupages.com that can be a huge resource for you.
