Tru Dessert Tasting
My friend and I went to Tru in fall of 2010 for the dessert tasting. We sat in the lounge area, order a nice soup which was served in Versace cups. The service, soup and desserts were fabulous. A real splurge. I also splurged on a box of Tru truffles which I would recommend.

Strategy for Pappy's and/or Crown to avoid a long line?
We arrived at Pappy's at 11am on a Friday and there were about twenty people in line ahead of us. When we left at 1145 there were sixty or more waiting. I would suggest earlier. If you have any room for ice cream go two blocks to The Fountain on Locust.

I have a lot of brie wedges
Cut the brie in bite size pieces, roll in honey then chopped nuts and wrap in small rounds or squares of puff pastry Best to use an egg wash to seal the pastry.. Freeze on a cookie sheet then put in freezer bag. Take out a few at a time and bake according to puff pastry instructions. Nice appetizer to have stashed in the freezer.
