I forgot about Jaspers...always wanted to go there. And, they take reservations. Should we go somewhere else before for drinks and apps? Any suggestions near or on the way there?
Celebrity restaurant for out-of-towners
Mesa Grill is a fun experience...but, very pricy for the food....i'd suggest doing an assortment of appetizers and drinks. The apps are great and you really get to try a lot of flavors. I had one of the best drinks of my life at Bar Americain...had a bunch of berries in it. Also got to meet Flay...he was actually working the line; this was only about a month after it opened
Where can I find good pizza in Dallas?
Chicago St. Pizza in McKinney (75 and 380) has incredible deep dish. The couple moved from Chicago and opened this place...they use really fresh ingrediants, make dough and sauce every day, etc. Most people pick up, it's just a small place with a few tables but family run and they can tell you all about it. Actually, I think they had another location in Plano off of Coit, but sold it to someone else...i think it is supposed to taste the same.

So, my husband and I are getting to go out tomorrow night for the first time in several months, after having a baby. The grandparents are in town and we're excited to head out on the town! The problem is that we are spoiled by great restaurants living off Mockingbird for 6 years. Now, we are on the McKinney/Frisco border surrounded by chains. We could drive in to the city, but I just hate to spend half of our date on the road. Any suggestions up in this area?
Thanks!
