Good chaat in MSP?

This place looks great. Thanks for mentioning it!

Best places to eat and buy ramps (MSP)

Northeast Social had them last night on special: grilled ramps and asparagus risotto. The additional sliced garlic in the risotto was highly unnecessary; I think I can still taste it today.

Quiet Restaurant in NE/University?

Agreed. The Sample Room is also a quieter spot for dinner. Both are smaller restaurants.

Dinner near Varsity Theater?

The Loring Pasta Bar is right around the corner on the same block and owned by the same folks. I recommend that.

Recs for Summer trip

Focusing on your laid back/pub/hole-in-the-wall request: Stub & Herb's, Kitty Kat Club, Town Hall Brewery in the Dinkytown/campus area. Bulldog NE and Whitey's Saloon across the street in Northeast Minneapolis. Grumpy's Bar on Washington, The Ugly Mug (on weeknights) and Eli's Food & Cocktails downtown. The Herkimer, Liquor Lyle's, and Mortimer's in Uptown.

Good Boston Cream Pie?

Last night I had a brief but unbelievably satisfying dream that I was eating a freshly made Boston cream pie. Now I can't get it out of my head and am wondering if any Minneapolis area bakeries or restaurants make a good one?

Upscale Indian or Thai in Brooklyn (Downtown or Williamsburg)?

Thanks for the recs, will definitely consider them next time. This week has to be Thai or Indian, though. A MSP expat has recommended Beet; it's not upscale but looks great to me.

Upscale Indian or Thai in Brooklyn (Downtown or Williamsburg)?

Thanks- I was afraid there would be nothing. I haven't been to NYC in years, but I had a hunch that if I couldn't find what I was looking for on the boards, then still it didn't exist. Thanks for the recs.

Upscale Indian or Thai in Brooklyn (Downtown or Williamsburg)?

Greetings from Minneapolis. I'm looking for an upscale Indian or Thai place in Downtown, Williamsburg or even Park Slope that will take a reservation. I have to book the table tonight for a Friday night dinner in Brooklyn. I've combed the archived topics and found nothing that fits the criteria. I did find Lantern Thai Restaurant, but is that upscale?

Thanks!

Indio closed (MSP)

Check out one of their other restaurants, El Meson. Very similar flavors but with more fish and seafood, if that's what you're into.

MINNEAPOLIS - Suggestions for business lunch near Wells Fargo Center.

Looks like the vote went to Mission, but for anyone's future reference: You can get to Cosmos via a short walk in the skyway, too.

MSP-La Belle Vie or Chambers Kitchen?

Perfect response. La Belle Vie offers polished service, warm and elegant surroundings, inventive cocktails, both imagination and consistency in the kitchen, and a meal that you will never forget.

Chambers is beautifully trendy and well-heeled, but my experiences there have involved either erratic service, bland drinks, disappointingly overpriced food, or all three. They make a mean iceberg wedge salad, though.
