Favorite Thanksgiving Desserts- Not Pie!
Simple-- but I love some warm, freshly baked oatmeal cookies on Thanksgiving. After all that heavy food, I prefer to cut out some of the butter and add applesauce for that light & fluffy cakey style oatmeal cookie. Delicious with some dark chocolate shavings on top and maybe some cayenne for a kick!
Melbourne: Pop's Casbah = Matt's Casbah?
Hello there,
As a kid I was taken to Pop's Casbah a few times over in our Historic district. I have memories of excellent homestyle foods and a nice, dark atmosphere. I see it's been re-done in some fancy looking digs and bought by Matt of Matt's Tropical Grill (snobby waiters and bad food).. anyone been over there yet? Worth it?

Great menu and atmosphere. No smoking and always families. Very fresh and delicious & complete with tropical sodas all the kids want!
As for the Lebanese idea, great! Although, Middle Eastern Aromas on Babcock is probably more kid friendly and price conscious. I recommend the falafel wraps for kids.. cut in half for easy eating. The market they have their is great for some souvenirs as well.
I agree with mustard gm---Mustard's Last Stand would be a great choice. Most kids love hot dogs and theirs are awesome. Nothing like roadside eateries :)

I saw the beginning of it. The Chairman had assigned Mark Ecko to design coats for the Iron Chefs to 'match their personalities'.
Hopefully they are flame retardant and come with vents. I agree the denim in a hot kitchen would not be fun!
