Where to go on a Monday night??
I have some friends coming in from out of town only stopping here for one night - next Monday. I would appreciate any ideas of places to take them that might show some Austin personality (live music, outdoor dining, etc.) on such a slow night. Thanks for your suggestions! Lunch in Houston
I'm from the northeast originally but recently moved to Austin. I love Mexican food but am told repeatedly that I am not getting Mexican food in Austin on par with the offerings in Houston. Well, it just so happens that I will be driving through Houston on a few weeks and want to stop for lunch to sample some of this fine Mexican food I have heard so much about. Can someone recommend a good Mexican lunch spot? Thanks!

I'm originally from Crete and I saw the same episode of No Reservations and was nostalgic for those flavors. Yummy... We went to Tino's right after that to satisfy my craving for some good Greek. The gyro was ok but everything else was not good. I will definitely try El Greco, Fino and Zorba Greek. I am on a quest and if I don't find what I'm looking for I may just have to take my dad's recipes and start cooking for myself! Thanks for your suggestions!

I am new to Austin and have been to the Salt Lick and enjoyed it. Is the Salt Lick 360 by the same owners? Is this the location you're referring to in Westlake? Sorry for the confusion but I'm very new to town! Thanks
Where to eat on the East Side?
My husband and I are buying a house over on the east side of town near the new Mueller development. We'd like to invite some friends over to see the house and then go to lunch somewhere in the area. Any ideas? Some place we could sit down with a baby but still have a good afternoon cocktail. Brunch works too! Preferably something other than Mexican or Tex-Mex. We have only lived in Austin for a few months so we're not familiar with the city's gastronomical delights. We are willing to try anything and price doesn't really matter. I'd love any suggestions anyone has. Thanks!
