Two Days in Birmingham, AL

It seems like most of the general threads on Birmingham are a little dated. I will be heading there for a wedding and will have free time to explore and eat on Saturday and Sunday (likely breakfast/brunch and/or lunch both days). I will be staying downtown, near the Museum of Art but will have a car and have no problem traveling a little. I am particularly interested in bbq - I've heard good things about Saw's - and other things that I can't get in the Northeast.

Rehearsal Dinner

My fiance and I are planning a rehearsal dinner in Manhattan for between 80 and 100 people and are looking for either an entire restaurant or a large private room. We would like something casual but fun with good food, and ideally with an interesting or nice looking decor.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Question re. Blue Hill at Stone Barns

I am planning on making a reservation at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. I know that part of the reason the restaurant is such a wonderful experience is that so much of the food eaten there is grown or raised on-site. To that end, is Blue Hill a much better experience if you go during the summer or during harvest season than as opposed to the winter or spring. I would like to go in March, but would be willing to wait if I am going to have a fresher, better meal if I go later in the year.

3 Days in S.F, and 3 in Sonoma

I will be in San Fran for 3 days / nights and in Sonoma for the same period of time. Any recommendations of restaurants for lunch and dinner would be greatly appreciated. Any price range is fine, and I would love recommendations for great fancy restaurants and great hole in the walls, with the quality of food being the most important thing, of course.
