near Logan Airport
Again, the quickest way to food and then back to the airport - take the terminal/T stop shuttle to the Airport T stop, walk THROUGH the T stop (up and over the tracks - you don't have to pay!), out THAT exit, and then on to Angela's, Rincon Limeno, or Taqueria Jalisco - each a 5 minute walk!
What is the superlative taco and where to find it in the Boston area?

The RC right in Maverick Square is being worked on - I didn't realize that there had been a fire, but they are clearly trying to rebuild.
Early dinner near the Met with 4 kids, 4 adults! Please advise...
Beyoglu was - at least a couple of years ago - a fine place to have a (large - we were 8 or so) family dinner before/after the Met. I might bring a stroller for the 5 y.o. - the Met is tiring even for grown-ups, and the walk afterwards to the restaurant might just do her completely in!

Mexican update: Is Angela's Cafe still the best?
Of course, Angela makes a wonderful Chiles en Nogada! I believe it's around in November and thereabouts...Remember our beloved Rubee? She loves this dish!
Where to re-sell Groupons?
Any thoughts on "best places" to re-sell Groupons? Thanks!
Best Street Food Near Rock Center
EDIT!! Alas, This place is closed!
I really like the chaat at a place in the 50s (?) just west of 5th; sorry I don't remember the name but search here and in the Village Voice's Fork in the Road blog for chaat - Name begins withSs.
This place IS a restaurant, but the chaat is Indian street food, and it's easy to do take out!
Why can't THEY eat like US?!

Best chow IN Logan Airport?
The great Meridian Market (Eastie) Specials (subs - see other posts) may still be available at Cibo's in Terminal C. They used to make them fresh daily in the early AM at the Market and bring 'em over.

I'm happy to send you the website info - Just click on my screenname for how to contact me.
Stalls are now listed; list looks the same as past years. No mention online of St Anne's, but don't miss it! They do sell out early - Last year it was the Nigerians who've been there before , and a booth from Sri Lanka.
Foodies with toddler looking for Boston advice
East Boston is accessible by T and has the best central American food (I'd suggest Rincon Limeno/Peruvian seafood and Buen Gusto/a bit upscale Salvadoran) and of course, Angela's wonderful Mexican. All VERY child friendly in atmosphere, RL and BG are closer to the T.
Or, go to Rosticeria Cancun for Mexican/Salvadoran street food (next to Maverick Station) One grownup waits for the order, the other brings the kiddo to the gorgeous, harborside Piers Park a few blocks away to wait and eat! (BTW, Scups, close by, is closed, boohoo!) You can take a water taxi back to downtown!
The Islands
Nice review, Daniel. As has been noted elsewhere on the board, the Islands is across from the Brooklyn Museum. Always my "go to" spot when I'm in the neighborhood.
chow worthy coupons April
I've ended up with a few extra coupons - write me if you're interested!
Some lunch recs in Cambridge to complement my Boston trip?
For homey, really good Puerto Rican: Izzy's, just a short walk fom Central Square.
suggestions for interesting restaurant where parking is easy?
Further out of town - Fuloon in Malden for excellent Chinese - but search the board for recommendations there as they have a huge menu. Also, if you'd like to try excellent Ethiopian, Habesha is down the street.

ISO Lowell picnic spot

Another possible picnic spot, or two...
St Anne's courtyard is very grassy and leafy and pleasant, but I'm not sure about benches. Right on Merrimack, opposite Shattuck.
And right around the corner (facing the church, it's to your left) is a park along the canal, with benches I'm almost certain.

Rp and Jenny - That timing depends on the time of day and traffic; I do this daily and find it much more reliable to take the Green line (in front of MFA )inbound and red line outbound to Harvard.
Foodie Couple in NYC for a week
You might also get a huge kick out of exploring Flushing, Queens, if you'd enjoy great Sichuan food as well as food from many other regions of China -Just post your query on the Outer Boroughs board.
Pepita mole?
Call Angela (of Angela's) - Si no hablo Espanol - her son or others at the restaurant will ask her for you. She's Pueblan (not Guatemalan) but does use pumpkin seeds in her sauces....
hand-pulled noodles
The chef/owner/chief-bottle-washer at Unique on Harvard St in Allston made us some toothsome knife-cut noodles w/ a bit of pork...Closest I've come in Boston to my NY/Flushing hand-pulled noodles. NOTE: It's a great little place, but COLD inside, so wear a warm sweater or two in this weather!
Only a Boston-area hound would...
Be thrilled to be driven squished in the back seat for 35 minutes to a wonderful feast of Cambodian food in Lowell!

Village Voice has new food critic/What about Sietsema??
I got an emai from the Voice with the following..."The Village Voice welcomed its new food critic, Lauren Shockey, last week." Does that mean Sietsema's OUT? (He recently STOLE - oh, excuse me! USED WITHOUT ATTRIBUTION!! - ScoopG's pics from Flickr wholesale - I think from Scoop's Henan review...)
Harold McGee at Harvard (independent) Book Store with Jody Adams tonight
Harvard Bookstore also has the capacity to print any book - including cookbooks, of course! - in the public domain - e.g. past their copyright. I think it's $8 a book - a bargain!
Citizen's Whole Roasted Suckling Pig
GREAT pics! But the vegetarians among us may not think so....There's no denying what's being consumed...
