Marliave

With all the construction going on there, I had assumed the whole place had been torn down and was gone forever. Now, looks like it's resurrected!. That IS good news. Guess it's too much to expect a few Italian menu entrees just for old time sakes. Anyway, glad to see it happening in a place I thought had been torn down.

Need advice on a snack walk around waterfront

Even folks from Worcester have to know about Quincy Market and the North End.

North End, Fridays - Reservations a must?

If you are going to want to eat at 7 or 8 o'clock on Hanover Street, you're going to have to wait. If you can be more flexible on when and where you eat, then it's quite doable.

Just went to Angelas Cafe -Amazing

Maverick is the closest. It's about a 10 or 15 minute walk from there.

Family restaurants near TD Banknorth center

We meet again! Anyway, the best place for you to hang out is Quincy Market. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Garden. There you'll find lots of eating possibilities, stores, and even street entertainers.

Architecturally interesting bars/lounges?

I always found Elephant Walk quite interesting, although that's certainly not new.

Where to go for lobster these days?

You are aware, I presume, that Anthony's Pier 4 is still there. I know it's not quite what it used to be, but the food is still okay and the views spectacular. I still think it's impressive, although I'm sure detractors will be replying shortly.

Good Eats Near Marriott Long Wharf

The Chart House, one of my favorites, is just behind the Marriott on Long Wharf. And there's a Legal Seafood just across the street.

MetroWest

You are correct. All the malls are closed on Easter. And many of the restaurants are, too. And many of those that ARE open have "special" menus for the day, usually with fixed seating times. You really need to phone ahead, see who is open, find out what they are serving that day AND make a reservation.

Given all those cautions, one of my favorite places for seafood is Dolphin in Natick. And if you are touring, you may like the Wayside Inn, an old stagecoach stop on the original NYC-Boston Turnpike Road (Route 20). Very historic, very lovely, and will leave a deep impression on yu if you've never been.

Dinner with Teens in BU Area

If the girls are adventuresome, try The Elephant Walk, a French/Cambodian restaurant that's interesting architecturally as well. The food is both good and interesting. It's on Beacon Street on the Boston/Brookline border, so it's close by.

Restaurant or space for party for 50

That's just about the right size to take over the Daily Catch at the Moakley Courthouse. I know they've been closed before for private functions, so it is doable. Great views, an outside space, good food... What else could you need??

Authentic waterfront seafood experience

Several places in Boston with good seafood and Waterfront views are the Chart House, Anthony's Pier 4 and the Daily Catch (at the Courthouse).

Good, reasonably priced food near Northeastern?

Is Betty's Noodles (at least I think that's the name) still near the corner of Huntington Avenue and Mass. Av, right across from Symphony Hall? If so, that's a decent take when you go to a concert and want to get in and out fast.

Somewhere with parking?

Anthony's Pier 4 still has free parking. Quite a deal in this city!

Is it even possible to find good Chinese food near North Station

I'm not quite sure I understand. Chinatown is but a 30 minute walk, a 12 minute T ride or a 7 minute cab ride. If that's where you want to go, that's easy enough to make happen.

non-pub-grub near boston garden?

You've got the whole North End and the Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market Area from which to choose. All are within easy walking distance to the Garden. Unless, of course, it's raining, and then nothing is close enough!

lunch near mass general

Actually, Antonio's is one of my favorite restaurants and it's practically right across Cambridge Street from Mass. General.

Mexican Grocery Store North of Boston

Trader Joe's has 'em.

Best pizza

The best pizza is Haymarket Pizza. The problem is it's certainly NOT the best pizza place. The compromise is to take a slice or two and carry it over to Fanueil Hall to eat on the tables facing the plaza. Of course, that means it can't be market day (Friday or Saturday) or you'd end up wearing it. Gets kindof complicated.
