Please recommend a casual bar/eatery for 10+ in NorthWest or North Central
Marabelle's on Mesa is very nice and has good food. Good wine selection. I have never been a fan of NXNW-I have tried on several occasions and just don't get what everyone sees.
Mushroom sauce for steak?
Chop a couple of pounds of small portobellos, Fry 3-6 strips of bacon, reserve some of the drippings, saute finely minced onion in bacon drippings. Leave mushrooms raw, crumble bacon, 1 tbsp of bacon drippings, sauted onion, fresh squeezed lemon juice, Kosher salt and cours ground pepper. Cross between a mushroom salad and topping for steak. Something different.
Rehearsal dinner recs
Z' Tejas on 6th is nice and you can rent the little house next door for a private venue. I had my wedding reception there and had about 75 people in attenence. Lots of selection for food. Good luck.
Visiting Austin- must eats?
Eddie V's is great for seafood, but you can't come to the area w/out driving out to the Salt Lick for barbque. The food is good and the atmosphere is Texas, it is BYOB. The Iron Cactus has really good margaritas and Z'Tejas on 6th St. is also a good choice.
