Port Isabel - Port Aransas Recs?

The Crab Inn in Rockport has excellent seafood. Reservations are strongly recommended on weekend nights. Service had been kind of haphazard but the food is always excellent. The Venician Hot Pot in Port Aransas is excellent. It has superb Italian food - but don't ask for freshly shaved Parmesan cheese on your entrees unless you want to get rapped in the head with a wine bottle, as cheese shavings aren't in the owner's vocabulary.

Pizza Burgers (MSP, but elsewhere in Midwest okay, too)

There was a diner on Mitchell Street in Milwaukee, not far from Goldman's called Deschainne's - or something like that - back in the sixties. They had pizza burgers. I don't remember them being breaded, though. They were a sort of chipped meat, tasting of Italian pizza sausage, with mozzarella in the inside. I didn't much care for the very thick tomato sauce served over them as I was just a kid, but the burgers were fabulous. There was also a fast food restaurant at Muskego Beach Amusement Park, open just during the summer months, that also had pizza burgers. I think they also served root beer in frosty mugs, but I don't remember if it was an A & W or not because I didn't like soda (still don't).
