Pre-Order Bentos?

Hey all, just wondering if you know of a place in Toronto that does pre-orders for cute bento box lunches. We were planning a group trip to see the Cherry Blossoms in High Park this spring and want to do it up proper Japanese style. If you know of any Japanese restaurants that will do this via internet or phone, please let me know asap!

Thanks for your help!

Thank you to everyone for your wonderful suggestions. I have decided to eat at Konnichiwa, then head to XO Karaoke before taking my friend to the Dance Cave.

Sounds like a great evening!!

Anyone know of a good cocktail place near Konnichiwa? *LOL*

Hey - thanks for the reply - where is Baldwin Village? And where is J-Town? I would LOVE some good ramen.. (other than Kenzo which is soo far away)..

Japanese Noodle River in Toronto

Ahhh.. that might be what I'm looking for .. thanks for replying! I know it sounds bad, but when you go to most Japanese restaurants in my town, they are run by Koreans - they don't make the food the same way generally .. I want something semi-upscale for my friend's birthday. :)

Hey .. sorry, I don't know any! It took me a long time to find Kenzo .. we're lucky here in London as we have a restaurant called Wonder Sushi that has an all you can eat menu - coming from someone who lived in Japan, the food is INCREDIBLE.. you get an hour and a half and for lunch it's a mere $12... it's awesome.. :) No ramen tho!!!

Tasting Tokyo in 4 nights

If you are seeking a really good Izakaya experience try finding a Dai-Kichi somewhere - I lived by this place in many cities. Always delicious and the staff are awesome.

If you get sick of Japanese food (hah, in 4 days, not likely) you should try Japanese Italian at Capprichiosa (they are ALWAYS packed and their food is amazing.). Have fun, I'm jealous!

You can find places to order it online - I know that stuff is addictive - I'm lucky because in my city, I can find it easily at some Asian grocery stores. :) I usually buy a bunch at a time. Keep trying - check out some more grocery stores and look online if you want to order it from specialty shippers.

I am so tired of going to Japanese restaurants only to be served by Korean and Chinese. I don't think they do Japanese as well as actual Japanese people do - can anyone tell me of Japanese restaurants in Toronto that are owned/operated by Japanese people??

If so, are any of them large enough to allow a group to eat together? I'm trying to plan my friend's birthday and want to give her good Japanese food..

I am always on the look out for good ramen shops. Having lived in Japan for three years, I am extremely picky. Personally, I like Kenzo - it's a bit of a drive, but it's worth it. I've been there several times - no other place has been given as good a review as Kenzo. I am from London, and there aren't any ramen places here!

Japanese Noodle River in Toronto

Hey all .. I was trying to find more information on a Japanese restaurant in Toronto. Apparently there is either one with a conveyor belt OR a water-river with noodles served in it (you grab them with your chopsticks), OR it was just a river that they served plates of food on .. anyone have ANY idea where this restaurant might be? I heard about it but didn't catch the name of it.. Please let me know asap .. I'm trying to plan a friends' birthday.
