Not sure about the *best meal ever,* but my favorite meals are huge, lengthy affairs with lots of friends and family, preferably involving vast amounts of cheese, garlic, meaty mushrooms, bitter greens, and full red wine. With chocolate for dessert, of course!
My current drink of choice:
Bulleit.
I really wish I could:
...spend my whole life cooking and eating!
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Chicken parm and veggie lasagna or baked ziti - so easy, and everyone's happy!
My favorite comfort food:
Simple ravioli with plain red sauce, steamed clams with drawn butter, my dad's chow mein.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Tough question, but maybe: 1) Pines of Rome (Bethesda - for white pizza and ravioli), 2) Kinkead's (D.C. - for all sorts of decadent seafood), 3) Cafe Steinhof (Brooklyn - for Monday nights), 4) Lichee Garden (SF Chinatown - for dim sum), and 5) Cafe Habana (Manhattan - for corn).
My most tattered cookbooks:
The Encyclopedia of Chinese Food and Cooking, The Art of Simple Food, 1080 Recetas de Cocina, The Joy of Cooking
