chinese restaurant paris

Does anyone know of a restaurant that serves Xiǎolóngbāo (the shanghai soup dumplings) in Paris? I have looked everywhere!

hongkonger searching for chinese food in paris!

I have tried that one, the pot stickers were ok, it was nice to see that they make them fresh, i was a little disappointed by their tofu and eggplant as it was covered in oil but it was great to have sesame mochis in almond soup!

thanks! i will try out the Japanese Udon, the site looks great, most of the japanese restaurants here only serve sushi and "brochettes"- stuffed with cheese!.

hongkonger searching for chinese food in paris!

I have been in paris for two years now and am still searching for decent chinese food, be it dim sum, sishuan, shanghainese..... as long as it is the real stuff, not europeanized!
The same goes for Indonesian, Vietnamese, Malay, Thai etc!! I am really craving asian food and getting homesick!

sort of like those dumpling things they have in shanghai which is served in the bamboo steamer, the "bread" covers it completly and you drink out the soup with a straw before breaking it open to eat the filling?

QUICK! 2 Nights in Paris, need suggestions

I really like L'Os a Moelle, in the 15th i think it's near Lourmel Metro, you will need to book. they do 6 courses, one soup, then a fish, then a veggie, then a meat, then cheese and dessert, but they are quite small very light food, really good tasting so you don't feel as though you can't move afterwards. i went in a group of three, there are three alternatives for each course except the dessert, where there are four. we had tried each dish until then... couldn't not!

Chinese in Paris?

i have been to Mirama, it was awful. Like you i grew up in HK and am on an eternal search for a decent chinese restaurant in paris, i have tried many but none decent, the majority are chinese + thai + vietnamese + japanese without anything authentic from any of the countries. if anyone has any other suggestions i am really homesick and crave some decent yum cha!
