Tie between Citronelle and the set of fish tacos I scarfed down at a roadside stand in Cabo San Lucas.

My "Go-to" dinner party dish:

Don't have one. I'm too busy to cook as much as I'd like, so I experiment on guests. Carnitas with homeade chips, salsa and guacamole was a recent experiment. I actually tend to "go-to" a dinner-party-obsessed friend's and roll as her sometime-sous chef or grillardin.

My favorite comfort food:

Clam chowder.

My top 5 favorite restaurants:

Buon Amici (Rome); Il Solitario (Capri); Sans Menu (Montreal); Farnham's Fried Clams (Essex); Gene & Georgetti (Chicago).

My most tattered cookbooks:

'65 Better Homes & Gardens; Naked Chef (he's a d-bag, but his recipes are pretty outstanding); Bourdain's Les Halles Cookbook (which is more a work of literature than a cookbook to me); Fergus Henderson's Nose to Tail Eating (see Bourdain comment).
