2010 Rec's Lumiere or Vij's

I will be in Vancouver for 2010. I am thinking I would like to go to Lumiere, is it worth it? Vij's is a possibility as well however they will not take reservations, and I presume it will be impossible to get a table there without a longg wait . Would that be likely?

Preserved Lemons in Ottawa

I am looking for a store where I could buy preserved lemons! I would prefer to buy a smaller amount. Can anyone suggest places to try? P.S I know how to make them, but I don't have time.

Ottawa Review: Play Food and Wine

I went to Play a few weeks ago, some dishes were stellar,( the gnocchi and the short ribs were amazing). Some food was not great (the Reuban sandwich was so so, and the potato salad was good but not fresh enough). I think Play needs work, it has not developed its identity fully, are they trying to be a copy of Jamie Kennedy wine bar( If so play up the small plates aspect more), or are they a modern eatery with great food at a discount ?

Sandwich shops/ Lunch around Toronto General (university at Dundas

I am looking for recommendations for a good place to grab a sandwich within 10 minutes walking of Toronto General hospital. It doesnt have to be fast food, just somewhere that has some good sandwiches/ lunch options.

Help Canoe - Any recommendations

Went to canoe about 2 weeks ago, I felt it was quite good! The gnocchi and foie gras appetizer was excellent ! For people who do not experience high end resturaunts often Canoe will seem like an excellent restaurant. If you are used to restaurants like Susur and Thuet on a regular basis it wont be so great. The point is don't be scared off of Canoe, the view alone makes the trip worth it at least once.
