It looks like the are finally working on the space that was suppose to be Poe's Chester SquarePub at the conner of Tremont and Mass Ave in the South End.
Pho Republic / Indian Restaurant
According to yesterday's Boston Globe the Bombay Club/Pho Republic space will be taken over by Shane Manfred of Bellino's Trattoria(Wakefield) and Bistro 20(Sudbury). It will be called Boma Restaurant & Bar, opening mid July. The food will be American regional cuisine with a changing menu based on the market and season.
Pho Republic / Indian Restaurant
I just walked by what was Pho Republic then the Indian restaurant on Washington St in the south end. The windows are papered up and the work permit says they are working on floors, new bathroom tiles, and a new bar. Any one know anything?
Italian - East Boston
Is there a good Italian restaurant in East Boston that has parking or valet and possibly a separate room for a birthday party for around 12 people?
Old Joe V's space
I walked by yesterday, paper off the windows and tables and chairs were set up. Someone was doing what looked like some touch up painting.
Something up at Toro?
What shocked me was that dinners were eating above trash and servers were standing above and on trash. It was filthy first thing this morning but it has been cleaned up since then. I'm talking about the seating area encolsed by chain.

I was going to have dinner at the out door seating at Toro tonight but I was shocked at how filthy it is. I checked out Legal Test Kitchen instead. That whole block of Washington St had a lot of litter but it was worse at Toro. There was trash under the chairs and tables and I went by again around 11 and is just as bad. I was very surprised to see people eating with so much litter at their feet.
Has there been a change of ownership or has the place just gone downhill?
