Special dinner- looking for beautiful ambiance and very good food in the Boston Area.

Ideas needed for a 90th birthday dinner for a very young gal. 15 family members with 1 baby. Somewhere in or between Essex and Bergen Counties. Dont want a private room, yet a bit of breathing space for the baby would be helpful.

Looking for a good meal in Manhattan (not blow your socks off foodie place), somewhere that has nice ambiance, very good food, reasonable $30-40 per person for a Saturday night in March. This is a reunion gathering for a group of women who were childhood friends from Queens. Need a place where parking is attainable. Any cuisine is welcome. Funny that no one wants to cross the bridge for the night. I realize there are so many above average places in Manhattan, but want one that is better than most with good value, cash only is good as well as BYO.

Forty Thieves restaurant just outside of the Jewish quarter. Fits your request perfectly. Locals, excellent food, must have seafood risotto. Best meal we had in Venice. No rip off here. We saw suburban housewives of Venice girls night out here, also family diners, we were the exception. Great opportunity to explore this area of Venice -away from touristy areas, Venetians actually live in this area.
