Brunch/Lunch event for ~35 people west LA

Thanks for the info. I should have been more specific. $25 for food and tea/coffee/soda, then more for tax/tip. We didn't want alcohol b/c this can get too expensive. So, probably $30-35/person is ideal. I would consider westwood or even sherman oaks. But beverly hills and west is ideal.

Thanks!

Brunch/Lunch event for ~35 people west LA

HI! I'm hosting an brunch/lunch event in July for about 35-40 women, ages 30-38. The ideal location is the west-side: santa monica, beverly hills, brentwood, west LA, etc. We are on a budget is about $25 a person for the meal plus a bit more for flowers. Someone recommended Joe's. Do you have any recommendations? THANKS!

rehearsal dinner - Westside.

Because of the large size, it would have to be about $30/pp.

rehearsal dinner - Westside.

could 65 people fit? Thanks!

rehearsal dinner - Westside.

I forgot, I am open to all sorts of places. "California" style cuisine or ethnic foods such as Italian and upperscale Mexican or Thai food. I do not have an exact amount yet... but nothing too pricey. thanks!!

rehearsal dinner - Westside.

HI everyone. I am getting married in February 2010 and I am starting to look into rehearsal dinner locations. I want to stay on the Westside, Beverly Hills or Santa Monica. I need a place that can hold about 65 people and one that is not going to break the bank. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!!

Brentwood Delivery Food

Hi. My friend who lives in Brentwood is having "movie-night" and we want to order home delivery. We are looking for something different than your standard pizza or chinese meal. Any suggestions? Thanks!

CUPCAKES GALORE!

Crumbs in Beverly Hills is the best! They have unique flavors and are great.

Haven't tried Ledas...but I think I will have to!

Good Eats near the Hotel Angeleno

So far great suggestions.

Sushi-Katsua in Brentwood. Maybe you'll run into a celebrity, i have on wednesday and thursdays. Pinkberry is very "LA." For burgers in the area, you can try the Counter, but I like Barneys better. Great sweet potato fries!

Watch the sunset on Ocean in Santa Monica and hit up a place to eat there as well. It's beautiful. If you like to workout, you can also do the "Santa Monica Stairs" on 4th street and San Vicente. Great people watching.

Mastro's or BOA in SM?

Go to Mastros. And get a drink in the upstairs bar...

Thai Elvis

i live on the westside so i was thinking if i didn't do thai elvis, then i would probably like to stay around here... thanks for the feedback

Thai Elvis

Thoughts on Thai Elvis? A friend of mine brought it up for this weekend. Is it worth it? If not, any ideas for something different/unique in the West Side?

Brentwood Farmer's Market

I personally love the dried fruit and roasted nut vendor. They have the BEST raisins, they are largest raisins i have ever seen! i also like the new spring roll vendor. they have a great jumbo vegetarian roll wrapped in rice paper. So good! i'm also a fan of the produce, great berries, squash, herbs and colored cauliflower this time of year.

Last minute dinner plans

Hi. I'm going out to dinner Saturday night w/ 2 other couples (a total of 6 people) and we were looking for something unique for dinner. We are seeing a movie in Century City AMC or Landmark in West LA. Any suggestions for that area? we want to spend a total of about $35 per person total (ncludes wine, tip, etc). Ethnic food is always good. Thanks in advance!

Bagels in LA?

New York Bagel Co in Brentwood on San Vicente (across from Coral Tree) is the BEST! My pic is the Pumpernickel Raisin Bagel w/ reduced-fat cream cheese. They also have amazing flattened 'Everything' bagels that are great. The place is packed on weekends, but worth it...

Visiting DC-it's been 15 years.

Thanks for all of the tips! For the hotel, i'm booking one of the Kimpton Hotels, either the Modera, Palomar or Topaz due to the location. Any thoughts on which to picK? Modera seems the least inexpensive, which helps. Thanks again!

I'm thinking of staying in Dupont circle area. I want a nice hotel, nothing too outragous in cost, like the low $200's. As for food, one night I want to splurge a bit for good food/nice atmosphere--Italian or fusion if possible. The other nights more casual, like $30/person range. Also looking for a wine bar for after dinner, but got some good recs from DCdoll. Thanks so much!!
