Best Food Near Watch Hill RI?

I'm probably too late and you have already refinanced your home to pay for the Ocean House food butttt if not- Venice Restaurant in Westerly right near the beach is a reasonably priced wonderful restaurant!

Dinner at The Great Wall, New Haven

Royal Palace is great- must have the Waterfall beef or chicken- amazing! New Haven Kudeta is Asian fusion but pure Chinese is well represented on the menu!

Lino's Market (Durham, CT): SFOGLIATELLE!

They are fabo- and if ever travelling to Boston for your sfogliatelle- go to Bova Bakery corner of Salem and Hanover North End- melt in your mouth Katty

Old Saybrook and surroundings for sit-down family dinner

Who doesn't love the Cabin in Clinton? gift certificates

Was directed to this site by a friend- I only searched New Haven and there were many participating restaurants, but bought $15 gift certificates to Anastasias for example for $6.00 each! Minimal restrictions, no expiration, and once you purchase then you just print them.

Does anyone else have good experience with other similar sites that perhaps we can all benefit from?

Lino's Market (Durham, CT): SFOGLIATELLE!

Two more Lino's must haves (but they don't always so call ahead) Homemade peanut butter cups amazing and mini cheese cakes- some of the most creamy and flavorful I have ever had!

Flemmings in Providence, RI - Best steaks and best sides? Anybody do their restaurant week in recent years?

Not sure about the Restaurant Week menu but in my opinion Capital Grill is soooo much better

French Onion Soup recommendations?

Carmine Anthony's (numerous locations statewide) has excellent onion soup.

Went this past Saturday night- if you are an old Seafarer fan this will be right up your alley- but no more. Limit your expectations to to other Lenny and Joes restaurants, West Haven aterfron fried food locations, Lennys in Branford etc and you'll find this location to be spot on with great service, an awesome view, and a sweet bar to eat at should you be like us and perefer to do so.

ALSO- if you are a Lenny and Joes fan buy some gift cards for yourself NOW and get some real savings of 25 %! I just bought $125 worth and paid $100!

Best apple cider donuts in CT?

LG, don't know where you live but the best donuts in the state , bar none, are Flanders Bakery in East Lyme- not open Sunday. Besides your cider donuts, you will find a jelly filled glazed stick, bizmark, and honey wheat like no others- bagels on perfect also! You will thank me!

Italian in New Haven?

Try the "sleeper" on Wooster- Anastios!

Home Restaurant, Branford Ct

Just heard that Home is about to unleash a new menu so certainly worth a another stop if you haven't been in for awhile. Foe did a great job with this restaurant with flavors and textures so perfectly paired. Home's owner Jared has successfully played off that success and brought this restaurant to the next level- trust me I know based on the headcounts of today compared to even a year ago. Don't be afraid to speak with Jared when you are there about that evening's specials, his efforts to buy both food and beverage from local purveyors, and his genuine passion for good food. We travel and eat out extensivly and Home is our home at least twice a month- friendly staff- Rob the bartender on Wed and Fri, Mike the other nights, Kate, Tracy etc will all make you feel comfortable. I agree with the comments re steaks in Branford- we go to Sage for Prime Rib or Carmine Anthonys for steaks, but Home cooking meets many of our other tastes!

Macaroni and cheese

A hidden gem

Info on bottom CCG

A hidden gem

The only thing we do more than work is eat out- so although not a self proclaimed gastronomique guru- I would say it would take a lot to dole out 5 stars. We have been visiting La Pergola frequently for three months- and I think in fairness it takes a series of visits to truly accuratly judge a new venue.
That said we give this establishment a complete thumbs up in every way- although we tend to eat at the bars so I hasten a comment re table service quality. The New York chef is really talented, and does a great job at melding flavors and textures- from the basics of a multi cheese platter appetizer to a clam soup that often appears on the special menu, the menu is really well thought our and offers a refreshing change to other shoreline dining establishments of which we are blessed to have so many great ones! A lot of unique offerings will keep you coming back- including a variety of imported pastas that I have yet to see on any of my other favorite NH County restaurant menus.

This restaurant is treated as a seperate entity from Tollis- its pizza house neighbor- to such an extent that you can not order a pizza when in La Pergola. I salute Anthony for sticking to this concept and strongly recommend you try this hidden gem soon- they serve dinner only except Sunday brunch which is an excellent value also

Lino's Market (Durham, CT): SFOGLIATELLE!

Linos is awesome- but do not go without getting one of their homemade peanut butter cups in the front case!

HELP! Need a REAL Italian place in New Haven for this weekend.

I think Consiglios is average- Lorenzos great for a bar to eat pizza at and watch the game- I am still standing by Anastasios- such a hidden gem- one of the best eggplant parms I have ever had. Definetly agree re Adriana's but it will be pricier- go there and you will have the best sauteed veal ever- try the John Dory too (ask for it they always have it but it may not be listed as a special)- it is ITALIAN (not Chilean) sea bass brought in from NY- so tender and fresh you will not even know it is fish!
