Boston Chowhound in D.C. for lunch one day only
Hi all,
I'm going to be in D.C. for one day only (sadly, it cannot be extended) with my boyfriend whose visiting from The Netherlands. We're only going to be able to have lunch (having dinner in Baltimore with friends), so I'd love some recommendations. Price isn't too much of an issue (I'd like to keep it under $100). We'll be around Capitol Hill and the Mall area, so that would also be helpful to keep it to a restaurant nearby. If you were to eat at just one place for lunch, where would it be? He doesn't like sushi or fish (sigh), but everything else is a go. Thanks so much!
Carbo-loading dinner?? Recs please!
I have a very long run tomorrow (20 miles) and would *love* fresh, homemade pasta with a light sauce--no cream, no frills--e.g. simple but delicious. Any recs? We're in Roslindale but Cambridge, JP, West Rox, Chestnut Hill, and Dorchester are all possibilities. Thanks!
Healthy dinner in Providence?
I will be in Providence tonight and was hoping to find a somewhat healthy dinner place (similar to, say, O'Naturals in Somerville, MA or Veggie Planet in Cambridge, MA). I really don't want Italian food (although the Italian in Providence is wonderful), so perhaps something Asian-y, Middle Eastern, or an upscale sandwich joint.
