Need recommendations for Restaurant/bar with private room?
I don't necessarily want dining but would like people to have the ability to order food if they want. Moslty an evening out for cocktails for 40ish people. Somewhere central/midtown ideal but could do danforth or college and open to other areas.
Someplace slightly upscale preferred, but warm and fun.
Also - I would assume the room would be no charge.
Thank you!!!!
Did anyone go to summerlicious 2009?
We went twice and had a GREAT experience at one, and a terrible experience at another.
GREAT - Lolo on Yonge, North of Eglinton. We went for our wedding anniversary. I had the caesar, a steak, and creme brulee. Husband had Shaved beets, leg of Lamb and flourless chocolate cake. All for $25 each. The meals were amazing, my steak was incredible, the service excellent and great atmosphere. I can't say enough great things about this place. I think they have extended Summerlicious so worth checking out.
NOT SO GREAT - 7 Numbers Danforth. Husband and I have long been fans of the Eglinton location, and I decided to use Summerlicious as an excuse to visit the Danforth location. So disappointing. The summerlicious menu didn't look so 'licious, but I ordered from it anyhow, while the 3 other women ordered off the regular menu. My main came 15 minutes before theirs, and I was told it was how summerlicious works (not so) the service was horrendous - could not get a drink let alone our bill. The food was so-so at best. I won't be going back.
breakfast in Oshawa
i know its totally taboo to discuss chain restaurants here, but let`s face it, this is oshawa we`re talking about. there`s a milestones on the oshawa/whitby border so depending on which direction they`re heading
Well-priced Indian
I'd pick it up and serve it here! that is a little far afield for me though.
I love your description of the mall, should definitely check that out.
Well-priced Indian
I don't want to say CHEAP but basically that is what I need. Our local places are rather on the expensive side, but am looking for a place to cater a party of 20 for about $12 pp. Was thinking little India but not familiar with those places, and sadly don`t have the time to taste test them all (wish I did!).
I live midtown but am willing to drive within Toronto proper. Any and all suggestions appreciated!
Need advice - Hosting rehearsal dinner
Okay, now the bride and Groom are requesting Indian. Anyone know of any reasonable indian restaurants that would cater a party of 20 on a budget? I was thinking little India as I know it's a lot cheaper than here (Leaside area) but am not familiar with the restaurants. Any suggestions welcome!
Need advice - Hosting rehearsal dinner
Thank you TorontoJo - Great idea, I totally forgot about them! I called however and they are closed for renovations at that time!
Need advice - Hosting rehearsal dinner
I am hosting a rehearsal dinner for a friends wedding (estimating 20 people) and really need some advice on the food. I'm hoping to get prepared foods dropped off from a caterer/restaurant. I'm trying to make this as easy as possible for as cheaply as possible. Was thinking about getting sushi and perhaps some samosas - but that is not really dinner-y and they don't exactly mesh well, unless I continued with that theme, but that is a lot of driving around. ANY ideas apprediated. I live in midtown. My budget is aoround $14/person for food only.
Thank you!!!
