90th birthday in Queens

Any ideas for a 90th birthday party?
American and Italian would be best.
There will be about 20 people on a Saturday or Sunday evening in October.
Past birthdays have been at London Lennies, Park Side and Water's Edge.
We're looking for something along the lines of Water's Edge, but we haven't been there in ten years.
We know we can't get a room for 20, so we're looking for a place that would not be too crowded..
Thanks.

Angelo's Pizza, Main St & Jewel Ave Queens

Angelo's was the best......
I grew up nearby and went there often.
I live in Bayside now and in recent years I would often go there since my mother still lives in the area.
Unfortunately, they closed about a year ago.
I compare all pizza to their pizza.

Fish markets in Queens

Thanks for the recommendation!
We went to the market on Sunday and bought swordfish. We grilled it and it was yummy! We also bought lots of veggies and apples.
It was nice to see DiPaola Turkey there too. We bought their sausage and ground turkey in Brooklyn.
Now we have great fish on Sunday too.
I'm so glad we went. Keep spreading the word!
(By the way, we did not have a problem parking)

Fish markets in Queens

Thanks for the info.
We're thinking about checking it out Sunday.
How is the parking?

Fish markets in Queens

I go the Farmers Market in Brooklyn (Grand Army Plaza) and Union Square.
Who comes from Montauk to Jackson Heights?
When is there a Farmers Market in Jackson Heights?
I would love to check them out.

Fish markets in Queens

We also go to Park's in Whitestone.
You might want to consider going to the farmer's market in Brooklyn on Saturday morning.
It will take you about 15-20 minutes.
Try the Blue Moon.....everything fresh of the boat!
They will be there until around Christmas.

arthur avenue

I love the brocolli rabe pizza at Cafe al Mercado!

North Fork

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked out their websites.
It's exactly what we're looking for.
On the way home, we'll stop by Braun's and pick up some fish to grill when we get home.
Has anyone ever bought oysters there?

North Fork

I plan on going to the North Fork for a day trip.
I'm looking for a place for lunch. We love seafood and prefer a fairly casual place.
We would consider a great take out place, a "shack" or restaurant.
Any ideas?
We will be there during the week.
Thanks!!

hamptons/montauk

I'm looking for a restaurant that is open on Mondays for lunch.
I'm leaving Montauk and would like to have a nice lunch on my way back to the city.
This would be in April.
Any ideas? It's a big birthday.....

recommendation anniversary

We're looking for a restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We would like to stay in Queens or western Nassau. Any ideas? We like everything, but don't want Chinese, Japanese or Indian right now. Some restaurants we've enjoyed in the past are Mill River Inn, Piccolo Venezia, Luigi's in New Hyde Park and Park Side.
Any ideas?

Angelo's Pizza Kew Garden Hills

Does anyone know if Angelo's Pizza is closed for good.?Are they renovating with the same owner or are they gone? It seems that all my favorites are gone. Mill Rver Inn, Bolo and now Angelo's.....

Metropolitan Avenue Forest Hills

Thanks for your help. We wound up going to London Lennie's. Many of the restaurants on Metropolitan Avenue are closed on Mondays and some are not open for lunch.
London Lennie's was pleasant. The food was good. We ordered scrod, fluke and a Cobb salad. Everyone was happy!

Metropolitan Avenue Forest Hills

My friend and I are looking to take our mothers out to lunch on Monday. We thought we would try a restaurant on Metropolitan Ave and then go to Trader Joe's. Our mothers are 80 and I think American or Italian would be best.
Any ideas?
