Any suggestions for drinks outside in the upper east? Happy hour suggestions would be great as well!
August or Apizz
I've only been to August for brunch and was not impressed- the outdoor garden is quaint and pretty but the food I thought was mediocre and the portions were tiny. I LOVE apizz, very romantic with excellent service and food so that's my vote!
Drinks at Bobo
Does anyone know if they allow you to sit outside at Bobo if you are only there for drinks? Thanks!
Split Pea Soup?
Dishes on 45th St.'s fresh herb split pea is unreal- it too is dairy and meat free but still manages to taste awesome.

So Park Avenue Autumn was good but I def prefer Quality Meats - much more laid back and the food was better too. Had the corn soup as an app and tried someone's scallops. The soup was good, the scallops could have been better. For an entree I had the sliced filet sandwich which was wasnt nearly as good as Quality Meats' version in both taste and portion. The caesar with filet looked skimpy and the meat was super rare, cool decorations but I wouldn't go back.
Bad Meal and Service at Esca
I went to Esca for my birthday dinner and was extremely disappointed as well. Glad to hear I'm not the only one :(

Help - am having drinks on rooftop of MET Saturday night and want to grab a light dinner and more drinks afterwards. Any suggestions? Looking for somewhere fun so we don't fall asleep and can make it out the rest of the night plus nowhere with all dates! Thanks
Atlantic Grill?
I was not impressed, had the simply grilled mahi mahi which was burnt and I rarely complain or send entrees back. My boyfriend's seabass wasn't much better I'm afraid...maybe just stick to the sushi?
Opinions on Xunta?
Not sure how many people you plan on dining with, but it's great for groups. The tapas are delicious and the prices reasonable, the flamenco dancing adds to the fun atmosphere. Enjoy!
Striphouse: food is fine, but is decor offputting?
Every time we've dined at Striphouse there have always been many tables of business dinners, it is far from being too noisy...enjoy!
Tartine or Cube 63?
Hi we're doing a small bday dinner (4 girls) and wanted a place with BYOB - which do you prefer in terms of both food and atmosphere, Tartine or Cube 63? I know they are both tiny but I figure if we go early enough and grab a drink across the way we'll be good to go. Thanks!!
Maremma - any recs
We had a bad experience at Maremma - the gnocchi was inedible and the moonshine pasta was average at best - worst meal we had in a long time which is a shame since there are so many other great restaurants in the area.

My friends and I went last week - great margaritas and guac. The pork cemitas and the pork huaraches were very spicy but good. The chicken cemitas were nothing to write home about but the side of refried beans hit the spot. Unfortunately we didnt save room for the churros but they looked great - enjoy!
Hundred Acres

Valbella - why bother?
I went to Valbella for a work event and thought it was great- the food and service were incredible and the space upstairs was gorgeous...but like I said it was an event thrown there by the Four Seasons and not a regular dinner for two.
Extra Virgin?
I love Extra Virgin - it's cozy in the winter and great to sit outdoors in the summer. The butternut squash ravioli is really yummy and they have a nice wine list.
Wildwood BBQ
So I hear the new BR Guest restaurant opens on Park Ave South this weekend - how do you think it'll be since it's so close to Blue Smoke, etc?
Max Brenner E. Village
My boyfriend and I went to Max Brenner's, got seated and walked out...they literally didnt have anthing on the menu that we ordered and were not apologetic about it in the least. Horrible experience!
Crispo, Maremma, or Alta for family dinner?
I have not been to Crispo or Alta but def choose one of those two as Maremma was highly disappointing.
Best fish/seafood....???
My boyfriend and I LOVED Fresh - and it didnt hurt the wallet either. I had the haddock and he had the sea bass, highly recommend :)
