All you can eat Korean bbq in upper darby?
I recently heard about a relatively new all you can eat korean bbq place in upper darby, but I didn't get a name or any details like location.
Does anyone know? Or has anyone been?
Thanks!
I-70: OH, IN, IL, MO, KS, CO Cross Country Road Trip
Where are some places I shouldn't miss along this leg of my cross country trip? I'll be staying one night in St. Louis, MO along the way.
Any food suggestions are welcome, especially any budget friendly ones.
Thanks!
pound cake problems?
so i baked a pound cake tonight using a martha stewart recipe from her baking handbook. it said bake for 50-55 minutes, but it still wasn't done after over an hour! it looked golden brown, but the center of the cake took forever to set. eventually, i had to put a tin foil tent over it b/c it still wasn't done, but it was becoming too brown.
has anyone else run into this problem before? does anyone know why this happens?
in total, it took about 1hr 40min for this cake to finally finish baking!
Soy sauce + butter = yum!
omg. when i was younger my mom used to give us rice mixed with butter and jang jo rim which is basically a korean side dish (banchan) of beef braised in soy sauce, garlic and ginger. so she'd spoon some of the soy sauce on the rice, cut up some of the meat and heat it all up with a pat of butter. soooo good.
i also love rice, a sunny side up egg and soy sauce. cheap and filling.
soy sauce and butter is also yummy when added to mashed sweet potatoes.
dining alone near Columbia U -- suggestions?
i love fairway! it's got everything, even a cold room! like a huge room where they keep all their regrigerated items. they even have huge coats taht you could wear before you step in!
as to korean food. i haven't had the mill, but around 164th and broadway there is a great little place called joa. they've got really tasty, fresh combos. bulgogi (marinated beef), kalbi (marinated beef short ribs), jaeyook (spicy pork), or chicken terryaki w/rice and veggies that are pretty resonably priced as well.
what happened to WIMP'S bakery?
I went by last weekend because I was craving a piece of their coconut cake and it was closed! There was a rental sign in the window as well. Does anyone know what happened to Wimp's?
