Tea Sandwiches

Can anyone tell me where a good place to buy pre-made tea sandwiches in the Phoenix metro area? I'm thinking maybe a bakery or something? I am helping to host a brunch and I don't want to make 200 of them. Any advice is appreciated.

Wedding Caterer

If you still have not found one I would say try The Kitchen for Exploring Food. They are doing our wedding and it's going to be amazing! They are very creative in their presentation and food combinations too. They were willing to work with us on tweeking dishes and are making up a special drink for us too. Our tasting was some of the best catered food I've ever had!!

The best list of wedding cake bakeries in LA?

After a tough decision we decided to go with Rosebud, although Cake Divas was as close to second as you could imagine. Both had wonderful flavors and combinations and our design was not a problem for either one. I would highly recommend them as well as Dream Cakes by Lynette. Fantasy Frostings needs to get into their new shop asap because their old shop is way over due for a make over and cleaning.

Well after walking into Takes the Cake in Pasadena, we should have walked straight out. They didn't introduce themselves, had us sit down it their small store front, which had dusty fake cake replicas, then plunked down our samples. Some lady there then gave us some water (which we deparately needed later because the cake was way too sweet) and said hmmm some of your flavor combinations were kinda weird. I admit not the best thing to hear when you are about to pay someone a few hundred dollars to make your wedding cake. Needless to say we did not end up going with them.

French and/or Sushi restaurants for special occasion?

I agree I love Parkway Grill, but we are looking for specifically Sushi or French. We can go into LA I don't want to rule that out. We just don't want to drive as far as Malibu or the OC.

French and/or Sushi restaurants for special occasion?

We would prefer sushi. I always forget about Shiro, amazing food but decor stinks! Any other suggestions? I'd like to have a small list to choose from.

Brunch HELP! Bridal Party, So Bay, Beach cities, LA, Pasadena

I agree, not so much for Twin Palms! I would say the Raymond in Pasadena.

French and/or Sushi restaurants for special occasion?

Can anyone recommend a great French or Sushi restuarant in LA or Pasadena area for a birthday for a major foodie chef? We don't want to break the bank, but we do want great food and atmosphere for this friend coming in from Denver. Any suggestions?

Is Delacy's Club 41 in Pasadena closed?

Around the holidays I went there to check out the location for a party and mid day it was locked with no one inside. Went back another day at dinnertime, same story. I tried calling and no voicemail. Does anyone have any information??

The best list of wedding cake bakeries in LA?

Thank you for the information. We had considered them from recommendations from my mom and our florist. However, when we looked at the website to pick sample flavors, they seem a bit off the beaten path. I thought we should get something mainstream as far as flavors go to satisfy so many people. I think some of the flavors sound OK but I was worried that they may be "too out there" for the masses. For your son's cake did you pick one of the combinations from the website or were they able to do something different?

Looking For A Slice Of Pie

Hands down in Pie N Burger. I grew up around there and have been going for 20 years or so. Every flavor is awesome and fresh. Don't be afraid of their "diner decor". It is clean and yummy! My favorites are the Peanut Butter and Coconut Cream.

The best list of wedding cake bakeries in LA?

We are thinking the total will be around 90-100 people. I only came at the figure of $1000 or under based on some per slice quotes I've received for a very plain cake. I know everyone says it, but I really do want it to look like a piece of art, similar to some East Coast cakes I've seen from NYC or Baltimore on TV.

The best list of wedding cake bakeries in LA?

I have seen all the posts regarding where to get the best wedding cake in LA. In the next few months I am coming in from out of town and have 2 days to make the rounds. So far the list consists of Rosebud, Fantasy Frosting, Cake Divas, Dream Cakes by Lynette, Takes the Cake, and maybe Sweet Lady Jane. I have seen many posts regarding SLJ but I still don't know if I want to chance it. Also, in my search I called Bee's Knee's and the recorded voicemail stated they are no longer in business. I want under $1000 and amazing looking and tasting. Does anyone have info regarding Dream Cakes by Lynette or Fantasy Frosting? Those are the two places I have limited information on.
