Tasting Menu at Susur or our family summertime lobster and mussel boils
My current drink of choice:
Champagne is my favourite. Had a very nice zinfandel paired with coq au vin recently, so exploring this underappreciated (in my opinion) wine.
I really wish I could:
prepare food for my family and friends as a living.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
We host a lot of sushi soirees. If I'm the guest, I will bring what is requested of me, or something that will complement the rest of the host's menu!
My favorite comfort food:
oatmeal with brown sugar and cream; actually most sweet breakfast dishes. Also, Sunday roasts.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Simply because of memorable meals I've had: Buddha Bar - Paris, Bonsoir Clara - Brussels, Susur - Toronto, Il Portico - Edmonton, Brewbakers - Fredericton. Okay, maybe recently, Agua in Barcelona might bump Bonsoir Clara...gah, this is hard.

For Christmas one year, my sister gave me a recipe box filled with all of our mom's old recipes. She took the time to write them all out for me. What a treasure!
