An old Fannie Farmer, alittle Craig Claiborne's cooking basics paperback, my great-grandmother's hand-me-down "A Way To A Man's Heart Is Through His Stomach settlement cookbook" (not worn as much from my use as by previous generations...although I'm getting very intrigued by some of the recipes offered therein!), REGIONAL AMERICAN CLASSICS from California Culinary Academy (bought for $2 on a clearance table when I was first really getting into cooking), my mom's old copy of the gingham Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook, and quickly joining the ranks: THE FLAVOR BIBLE
