Best Upper West Side ethnic holes in the wall
Ayurveda is great - but it has good atmosphere, too. The lunch is really cheap and the service is very....peaceful.
For veggies like me, it's great to be able to eat everything they serve.
If your upper west extends to Columbia, Massawa is a good Ethiopian place on Amsterdam and W. 122

La Rosita is gone and sadly, the space has been unrented for more than a year! It's criminal.
Does anyone know where to find a similar (one-of-a-kind) place?

Perfect Eggs, Beans and Rice
I miss La Rosita, the classic Upper West Side diner that's been closed for too long now. I miss their perfect scrambled eggs with black beans and rice. Their white toast was perfect and the coffee bitter and milky.
The setting was low-key and friendly.
Where can I go to find this again?
