Best meal I ever ate:
My best food memories are tied to experiences and people I love. Favorites: my Grandma's delicate French apple cake with (not overly sweet) cookie crust (ingenious and her invention), portobello mushrooms that tasted like filet mignon over perfect pasta in a hole in the wall in southern Italy, a brioche the size of my head filled with custard and rock salt
My current drink of choice:
Good, strong coffee, water from the tap and champagne
I really wish I could:
Make a good roast chicken. Mine is eh.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
I make a great quiche. Ironically, I loathe quiche.
My favorite comfort food:
Anything carby, coated in olive oil or cheese and salty.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Since I have not been to San Francisco in many years, I cannot answer this question.
My most tattered cookbooks:
My Gran's handwritten book of recipes, Joy of Cooking
