Peruvian chicken - replacement for El Pollo Rico?

This isn't really near you at all, but I can't say enough about El Pollo Ranchero on Rt. 1, in Alexandria VA http://www.yelp.com/biz/el-pollo-ranc...
This place is very reasonably priced, and their chicken is delicious. Team that with a side of red beans and rice, and the awesome sauces they give you (green and yellow, can't decide which is my favorite), and you've got yourself one hell of a meal. The steak salad is also good, as is the chicken burrito. I imagine it's all pretty good. I've yet to be dissapointed, and my family has been ordering from there for years.

Who has the spiciest and/or best chicken hot wings in northern virginia or DC area?

I've been watching Man vs Food on the travel channel, and it got me craving some spicy wings. Does anyone know of some famously hot wings in the area? I live in northern Virginia, but would be interested in wings anywhere within the metro area. Thanks.

Kingstowne Takeout

i second the Chinese food place House of Dynasty, you get big portions and the quality is consistently above average. Manchester Bagel in the Manchester lakes shopping center has delicious breakfast sandwiches and good coffee. they are only open until 4pm most days

Sabang Indonesian, Wheaton

I ate at Sabang last night and I was very pleasently suprised. From the outside looks of the place, I didnt expect very much. Upon entering however, I encountered an elegant little room with asian decour, a nice fully stocked bar, and live jazz music playing. We started out our meal with crab eggrolls and some soups. I had the spicy shrimp soup, which was extremely flavourful/intense There were only two shrimp in it though, I think they could have thrown me one more for good measure. FYI about the shrimp soup; it may only have a rating of one spicy little pepper on the menu, but it packs a punch. The guy refilling the waters quickly became my new best friend. My dates soup was also very good, but I don't remember exactly which soup it was. I believe there was chicken in it. The crab egg rolls were okay; nothing spectacular but still tasty. We shared the whole fish with Kelio sauce for our entree. Though a bit spooky to look at, the whole fish was delicious and suprisingly easy to eat. The meat just slid right off the bone, and there were barely any inedible bits to pick threw. Afterwards we each got a desert. I got this sunday-esque drink called Cendel. It was a rice based drink with brown sugar, ice and mango. Very good. She had the fried bannana fritters. Think carnival style waffle cake coated in powdered sugar, but with a fried banana inside. Also, very good. Our whole meal came out to about $50, but we were not drinking alcohol. The staff was also very nice and obliging. It took a little while to get our check, but a large group just entered and there was a lot going on at the time, so I can look past that. All in all I would definetly have to recomend this place to anyone in the wheaton/kensington area looking for some good ethinc eats.

Friday night dinner near GW campus Washington dc

Im going to the Lisa Lampanelli show friday night at the auditorium on the GW campus. Whats a good place to go out to eat with a lady friend, thats fairly close by or close to a metro stop not too far away? I dont really care what type of food, just looking for something delicious and chow worthy, perhaps a local fav. Im lookin for something nice, but not ridiculous...price should be reasonable. Nothing to "ethnic" though, shes not a big fan of food shes never heard of. yeah pathetic and very anti-chow hound i know but hey what are ya gonna do? oh yea, Tapas are okay however, got her into that. Good drinks/drink specials would be a great plus. looking for any and all suggestions (not just tapas by any means) Gracias amigos

I just looked at the whitlow's on wilsons menu webpage, and i dont see anything about crab legs. there is a brunch menu, but theres no crab legs on it. Is it the buffet on sat and sun where i can find the crablegs? I must have them... its life or death...but not really

Crabs in DC

Where is the best place to get all you can eat crab legs in the DC/Arlington/NOVA area? Price is somewhat of an issue, but im in the end im looking for quality over quantity (which doesnt really make much sense bc its all you can eat... but hey whatever)
thanks everyone

Sandwiches and pitas near Connecticut Ave & K Street DC

Yea, I might have to try the turkey next. Went to Breadline yesterday, and Im going to have to say it is worthy of the hype. It was very busy, but they had a very efficient sandwhich assembly line going on so I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I got the italian sausage sandwich and an order of fries; it was too much food to finish. The sandwich was acceptional, but kind of messy and fell apart a bit while eating it back at the office. Id have to recomend a tidier sandwhich if your getting food to go, but since that was my first time there, I have no alternate suggestions. The pitas there looked delicious though. The fries were okay. They were boardwalkesque, and im not really a big fan of those type of fries (i.e, soggy- i like em crisp)... but to each his own. If anyone else has suggestions for lunch in this area, Id love to hear them. Thanks a lot
