Italian brunch, South Bay?

We used to frequent Viva La Pasta in Lunada Bay when we lived there, many years ago, but I hear it's closed. Coming for a visit soon--Are there any other Italian Sunday brunches around?

Fun place for graduation dinner?

It's high school but it's the baby. :) Fancy is okay, casual too, but fun and/or celebratory atmosphere is great. Thanks!

Fun place for graduation dinner?

Was thinking the Portland Spirit, but maybe ride is nice and food is bad? Any suggestions?

Need special occasion place post graduation--recommendations for somewhere with live music?

My daughter is graduating from PSU. My ex and his wife are coming up to Portland so we unfortunately have to sit at dinner with them post graduation, LOL! Does anyone know a great restaurant downtown that has live music or a loud bar or ...something not quite so intimate? We were thinking Bluehour but want something a little less...well, you get the picture.

So many great concerts this summer. Where's someplace we could hop off MAX for a good bite and hop back on to the concert? Love Italian, Mexican, burgers..

Recommendation for great Portland brunch to impress former teacher!!

My high school English teacher--and my favorite teacher--is coming to town for a weekend this month. We've lived here for 20 years but don't do brunch often. I'd like a place where we can linger and visit and not be pushed out of the table. Would also be nice if it were fairly reasonable (i.e., not a $35 buffet as in Salty's) with consistently good food. I've been to Mother's, but it's so busy that you feel rushed. I also don't want to wait an hour in line. Any recommendations, or am I asking too much??

Casual Dining Food in the Pearl District

If you like Mexican, there's a Cha! Cha! Cha! on Glisan (about 12th). A few tables inside and out. Nothing fancy, but it's pretty good. I know one of their burritos is a little unusual with beef, raisins, and olives, but the rest is pretty standard. Still a good place for people watching.

Portland: Impressive place to take boss for coffee?

Thanks--I LOVE the Ace! Ugh--unfortunately, the other people we have to meet that night want to go to Claim Jumper. It's not that it's that bad--but there are so many other wonderful places here, I'd rather impress her with something else.

Portland: Impressive place to take boss for coffee?

Picking my boss up at the airport and have a couple of hours until dinner. Besides just driving out to the Gorge or seeing scenery...where would be a great place to hang out with coffee and a snack before dinner? PIx (Hawthorne or Division)? Something weirder like Voodoo? She's really into 'Bucks, so the brew need not be fantastic (although I love Stumptown). Suggestions?
