Talula - Atmosphere?

From reviews on the board, it seems like Talula's food is exceptional. We're a group of 8 in our late 20's - early 30's looking for a nice place for good food and lively atmosphere (doesn't have to be SOBE sceney). Does Talula fit the bill? The spice menu looks great!
