If it's for friends then roast chicken or pulled pork. For family it's pan fried duck breast (cooked rare) or butterflied boneless leg of lamb with rosemary, garlic, olive oil salt and pepper.
My favorite comfort food:
Poutine, grilled cheese with bacon, BLT, chicken pot pie, beef pot pie or Mac and Cheese with bacon.
