Jean George Steakhouse at the St. Regis
Will be going to the DF during Easter week. Planning on going to Dulce Patria, Pujol,
Azul Condesa, and Bajio or Fonda El Refugio . Am considering going to the Jean George
restaurant at the St Regis, any thoughts. Is it worthwhile?
As a side-note, what is the typical hour for dinner in the DF? Are the dining hours more like
the ones in Spain(i.e. late)?
Bitter in Denver

Italian dilemma
Will be going to NYC during Thanksgiving week, would like to try at least two of the following Italian restaurants: Ciano, Del Posto, Maialino, Locanda Verde. Marea should probably be in this list, but went once, was not too thrilled with the food. Food is the main issue, budget is not. Any thoughts/recommendations?? Thanks!

Puerto Rico (ESJ, OSJ, Condado) Suggestions?
Hello, I'm what could be called a local "foodie"(although I dont really like that term). My recs for local places are:
1. Jose Enrique: funky scene, tremendous food, great fish dishes, very local scene. Ex-Bouley chef. Try the rabbit empanadillas, homemade longaniza(sausage), cheese course, any of the fish plates...
2. Laurel: at the Museum of Art of PR, from ex-Chayote chef Mario Pagan, very good.
3. Jose Garden: excellent PR/Dominican food
4. Compostela: great spanish food, upscale tapas, great rice dishes(black calamari-awesome, the rabbit/chorizo rice also great!!), expensive but worth it.
5. Casa Lola: brand new, have not been, from chef/owner of Budatai, upscale PR food, very nice setting in old remodeled house( huge)in front of the lagoon
Out of all of these must go recs: Jose Enrique and Compostela.
Enjoy!!

Boca Raton restaurants
Going to Boca next week, thinking of the following restaurants: Max's grille, Racks, Table 42, Morimoto. Looking for good food, lively ambiance( I know, I know, Boca is not exactly Miami). Will be staying at the Boca Resort. Any thoughts and/or other recommendations? Thanks for the help!
San Juan/Condado Area
Try Jose Enrique, excellent local cuisine, funky ambience, located in Santurce at the Plaza del Mercado. Would not walk, cab it. Compostela has excellent upscale Spanish tapas, great wine selection. Bebos Cafe is a more low-key, PR-Dominican restaurant, good food, cheap. For very upscale cuisine, try Augustos, very quiet but very refined, NYC type food. Off the beaten path but for tremendous pasta try Pinoli.. Enjoy,
Puerto Rico dining suggestions please!!
Hello. For outstanding local (and nonlocal) cuisine in a funky area (Plaza del Mercado)- Jose Enriquez. For more formal NYC-class food- Augustos. Pikayo always has a good scene and food. Upscale spanish, awesome wines- Compostela. Great Italian, somewhat hidden away from the tourist scene-Pinoli. Panasian, fun bar-Buddhathai. Fun ambience, good pizza-Il Postino.
Enjoy!

suggestions for solo sunday night dinner
You can eat very well at the bar at Eleven Madison Park.
Also you could try A Voce at the bar-great food, good scene in an NYC not LA kind of way.
Chelsea Recommendation?
Cookshop. Excellent food, informal, great menu, gentle prices.
A Voce vs. Insieme
Will be going to NYC for three days in early June, am debating between A Voce (have been there 4 times-always had a great meal) and Insieme. Due to recent strong rumors that Andrew Carmellini is leaving A Voce I am somewhat hesitant about reserving there. Other place we will be eating at are Casa Mono (lunch), Le Bernardin (lunch), Momofucku Ssam (dinner). We are on the waiting list for Per Se. Am also considering Gramercy Tavern (have not eaten there since the new chef arrived) and Cru. Any thoughts and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Excellent Chicago Italian
Will be in Chicago for New Years Eve weekend( Sofitel Watertower).Have enjoyed Nomi, MK, Osteria Via Stato in the past, was not impressed with Alinea or Moto last year. Interested in outstanding italian restaurants; have been to Spiaggia, found it to be too stuffy for our taste. Looking for something more in the mold of Babbo, Alto, L'Impero in NYC. Cost is not important. Thanks for the help.
