Does anyone LIKE matza?
My family and I love matzoh any way we can get it! especially smurah mazoh.
Barton's chocolate matzos
My son sold it through school fundraising sale. On person who bought, bought almost everything in thier catalog, as per they were having A LOTof people for pesach. She replied(b/c they are family friends) saying they were all terible, and all thier geusts hated it.
Looking for a non-kugel, make-ahead potato side dish to serve with brisket
My husband is the cook in our house; he uses a great and easy chopped potato recipe. Chop baby potatoes into quarters, spice them with pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard powder, paprika, white pepper, and thinly chopped basil, and then cut bake at 325 for as long as you deem it necessary9some people like it more crispy, some like it a little rarer). Hope you enjoy:-)

Ocean Place has been advertising for Chol Hamoed and the last days. They also had hand shmurah a whole yom tov last year. The crowd is a mixed, albeit , largely modern orthodox crowd. There are definitely some ,not many, wearing hats on yom tov. It is a great ,friendly, crowd.
Shmurah Matzo Recommendations -- It's that time of the year...
We have used it in the past few years. It is almost as good as Tzeleh Pupa, thin and crispy.
Walt Disney World
We went over yeshiva week. The food in Disney is good, although an older boy or an adult does need two meals. We find the meals convenient; would not bring in food for dinner or go out. Cohen's had a two hour back up over yeshiva week,so went to Kosher Culinary which was not cheap ,but less than the price of two Disney meals. They were able to keep up with the rush much better. We waited about 15 min for a table and about ten to fifeen for food which was not bad, esp since we went just after Universal closed. The food was really pretty good, despite varying reviews on this site. They limit the menu to about 6 choices -2 beef and 4 chicken. We tried four out of six and found them all good. The portion sizes on the sandwiches are smaller than on the chicken mains, such as Chicken Marsala. We found them convenient and would go back.
Teaneck dairy restaurant recommendation for 60th bday party
I am partial to Shelley's . Their food is always excellent. Their presentation is always attractive and the service is attentive and professional. They have been around for years;it shows. My family has not been impressed by Mocha Bleu's service. Rabica is good too, cheaper than Shelley's . I have only been there once, so I can not fairly say more, except that the food was fine when I went with my husband and two other couples.
One Meal in Teaneck?
If you are talking about Israeli food, Persian Grill may be cheaper, but Sababa is far superior in terms of taste ,authenticity and value. They put quite a bit more meat into their lafa than Persian Grill. Persian Grill 's food tastes fine, but Sababa's is better.
Strange Passover request
My husband thinks that Paskesz made a Pesachdik fruit leather last year.
the best pesach food in hotels
The desserts were very good too. The cakes looked as if they were chometzdik. We enjoyed them. We enjoyed the ice cream ,pareve ice cream and sorbets too.

Matza Fun Tours at Ocean Place Resort will be around this year. The food and kitchen was even better last year than the previous year. Chef Marty was back last year and will back this year. Mauzone did an excellent job keeping the kitchen running smoothly. The food came out of the kitchen quicker than the previous year. This was even the case when they had rib steaks on the second night on Yom Tov and needed to wait until the first day of Yom Tov was over to start cooking.Mauzone will be back this year as well ,as evidenced by their web site. They will have a second scholar in residence this year,Mendy Ganchrow . His bio on the web site sounds interesting. Check it out.
Shabbat and Aufruf in Washington DC
We are Marriot members. Any good Marriot, I would expect other good chains, will have security bring you to your room on Shabbos. You dont' have to ask them; only gently tell them what you need. It works especially well if you let them know at the front desk that you will need this when you check in.
Shalom Bombay Teaneck closing
I was there last week and was told that they would be closing and would no longer be kosher.
MochaBleu in Teaneck
I went there for my son b-day. I loved the food and the service was ok. I shared my son's desert ( which I expect is what you mean by thingamajig) and it was realy good.
Miami Beach Pre-Paid Shabbat Meals - update
Europa Grill in the Days Inn should be doing Shabbos meals ,from what I know.
Kosher Experince in Teaneck
I agree. The noise level and state of many kids running around while I am eating out is not a selling point. I do not find Kosher Experience' food to be any better than the restaurant that specializes in that cuisine, whether it be Israeli, burgers or Chinese to justify the slightly lower cost. I only go there when a friend that I am with specifically wants to go there.
miriam mizakura's shalom japan - glatt kosher restaurant from the 80s-22 wooster st
Sure, my husband talks about it all the time. Isaac Bashevis Singer used to sit there. A friend of his interviewed him there for a book report(just a few years ago)

(another) pesach program question...
We have gone for to Ocean Place with Matza Fun for years . We have always been impressed with the quantity of food. We thought that the food was delicious last year. I am happy to see in the advertisements that chef Marty is back this year. I heard that he was not there last year. I loved his soups. His duck and veal were mouth watering. I look forward to them from year to year. His inventiveness and ability to make pesachdik foods taste like chometz is extraordinary. My son loves his quinoa"fried rice". His chinese buffet ,replete with veal ribs, lo mein , stir fried dishes and Chinese soups are a Chol Hamoed highlight. I see from the ads that Mauzone is involved this year . Their reputation for top notch presentation is legendary. I look forward to seeing the interesting dining room and tea room buffets that they create. I have we have warm weather; Pesach is late in April. A few years ago, it was eighty degrees on Yom Tov. They did kiddush on the veranda overlooking the ocean. It was a pleasure- a highlight of Yom Tov.
Best Falafel
I agree. So does Kosher Luncheonette on Fulton ,block off from William near the South St Seaport..
Kosher in DC
I went to Eli's twice last week with my family. The food was quite enjoyable from soup to dessert. The presentation was fine esp for the type of restaurant that it purports to be. The service is good ,staff very pleasant. This is esp notable as we were during a snowstorm ;no one was rushing us out when we left at 8pm. I would heartily recommend this place and look forward to going back when I go back to DC. It is a 20 min metro ride from downtown. IMO it is not worth the hour plus drive to Baltimore or 45 min ride to Silver Spring.
(another) pesach program question...
Matza Fun Tours at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch,NJ is about 1.5 hrs from NYC. They have both separate and mixed swimming in the indoor pool/whirlpool. The adjacent spa is a full service spa. It is very pretty. It has a jacuzzi that is so hot and wonderful. It also has both dry and wet saunas that remind me of Grossingers' . The food is both non gebrochts and gebrochts. They do gebrochts such as matza pizza as part of the chol hamoed lunch buffet outside in the hallway of the dining room. The food is excellent . Nothing is missed. The chef,Marty of Mauzone , is inventive and interesting. The food choices range from lamb to duck to veal ,to steak. One of my favorite soups is a Latin Sancocho that was delicious . The crowd is mixed from modern to yeshivish, friendly and accepting. A great place.
Kosher in East stroudsburg PA
Central Pa kosher mart, the people that have a kosher stand at Hershey, will be at Camelback next week.
wasserman and lemberger
Sorry about the typo in the last post. I am looking for a good dairy pasta/fish meal.
wasserman and lemberger
Yeshiva week is Jan 20-30, From earlier posts, it seems that I am better off going to Silver Spring to eat dinner after driving down and heading to DC? What do ppl think of Siena's or Pastry Oven for a good driveway. Are they easy access to DC afterwards? TIA.
wasserman and lemberger
We are driving down to DC from NJ over Yeshiva week. Are they an eat in dell or a take out place?
Burgers Bar in Teaneck - Thoughts?
I disagree. I think the burgers are enjoyable, priced in line w/ the other options. I 've never had to wait more than a few minutes on an evening that wasn't busy . I've never been there at a busy time.
