Fresh gourmet mushrooms & Crawfish in the RTP/Triangle area?
Spain Family Farms Grows unbelievable shitakes. You can find them at the Moore Square Market. I think.
Fresh Market is coming to Chapel Hill
They are working on the building right now but they are not open. They have taken over the old Harris Teeter spot on 54. They have great Hereford aged beef.

BBQ in North Carolina mountains, with hogs from local, sustainable farms?
Although Woodlands may not be organic they will smoke any meat you want. I always thought that was pretty sweet. So Buy a whole organic pig and get them to smoke it and get ready to eat pork for the next 2 months. Although I'm sure they'd do a boston butt for you too.

Favorite Triangle-area bartenders
Chris Powers at the Raleigh Times. He is bartender/manager and he is doing some pretty awesome stuff. The beer selection at times is awesome and Chris is working on making his own bitters. Really inventive and a great guy to start with.
Need rec. for CSA in Durham/Hillsborough area

Great Chef's
Wow! That was a lot of reading. The FN really is quite sad. Hasn't anyone started on the internet. Doesn't Youtube have something. As a chef I started to do some filming for an online website of cooking instruction but it was going to be a pay sight which I think we all came to the conclusion that people wouldn't pay for an online cooking class. We even looked into doing live online interactive classes but it all came to no avail. Isn't there something out there on the WWW?
Great Chef's
Whatever Happened to the show Great Chef's of the World. What a great collection of food footage and great recipes. I think that show could have gone to the next level and given Food Network a run for its money.
Triangle Meyer Lemons
I need help quickly. Meyer lemons are in season and I was wondering where I might be able to buy them in Chapel Hill or Raleigh. Whole Foods? Weaver Street? Any ideas?
Fins Restaurant
The chef and the food are amazing. Service can be pretty bad at times but I find this to be true all over the triangle. Very few restaurants seem to be able to get the service and the food correct. The food at fins is some of the best in the Triangle
College Birthday in Raleigh NC
My suggestion is Red Room Downtown. They do tapas so there is a wide variety and sharing them is great. Plus you can stay till 2 and party all up and down glenwood if you want to leave
Best Oyster Bar in Durham/Chapel Hill area
Shucker's is awesome. The owner's have been there for 20+ years. Seafood is ok but the oysters are great as is the casual country service.
Triangle Steak Houses
Bin 54 sounds awesome. Anyone try 1705 Prime in North Raleigh. What about Prime only Downtown?
Triangle Steak Houses
I am looking for a great steak house in the triangle. I have been to the Angus Barn several times and have always enjoyed it. Looking for something a little more upscale. Any suggestions?
