What's your favorite meatloaf recipe?

Okay, that's great. Now here's another tasty meatloaf suggestion. You know that Vietnamese Sriracha sauce? The red hot sauce with the bright green plastic cap and the rooster on the bottle -- you can find it in most Asian food sections. Mix a dash or two of that in your meatloaf mix and then... when the meatloaf is nearly done, mix another dash or two of the Sriracha with 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, a rounded teaspoon or two of regular yellow condiment mustard and a 1/2 tsp of granulated garlic. Stir it up and slather it on your meatloaf, then finish baking.

What's your favorite meatloaf recipe?

iL Divo - KNOX unflavored gelatine. You can get it where the Jello is sold, usually on the top shelf.

What's your favorite meatloaf recipe?

Right, not the whole packet per pound. I make a big meatloaf so there's plenty of leftovers, so I use a whole packet for three pounds of meat. About 1/3 of the packet per pound.

Recently moved to Willamette Valley. Legendary Mo's Clam Chowder was a must on our to do list. Complete dissappointment. What's so "legendary?" My family recipe and a couple other recipes I've tried are WAY better than Mo's. I failed to see what the fuss was all about. Big waste of time and money in my humble opinion. Did I miss something?

Best food finds at Costco? [old]

Careful price comparisons showed Costco is often NOT a better deal, but there are things we have found that are super cheap and we buy on a regular basis:

Rotisserie chicken -- cheaper and 100% better than any grocery deli counter
Eggs: bundle of 5 doz -- best price around
Kirkland butter - bundle of four 1 lb packs -- best price around
Kirkland coffee beans - 9.99 for huge bag
Boca burgers -- makes an excellent sandwich, nutritious, 100 cals ea, way cheaper than grocery stores,
Burritos: big bag of 30 -- very nutritious after school snack that our kids can make themselves
Egg rolls: large box of 18 -- ditto
Heinz ketchup - bundle of 3 lg bottles, 1/2 price over grocery
Stacy's pita chips - addictive, good with ANY kind of dip including guacamole
Marcona almonds
Excellent rhubarb pies when in season
Maple syrup -- way cheaper than grocery store
A-1 sauce -- ditto
Earthbound farms spring mix salad greens $3.50 (in a big plastic shoe-box like container) -- WAY cheaper than grocery store ($4.99 @ Walmart)
Don't buy bottled water -- environmental catastrophe & sorry, but shame on anyone who does (IMHO)

While we're there we always grab lunch from their food court. Kids chow on pizza and frozen yogurt sundae, hubby goes for all beef hotdog + drink for just $1.50 and I love their Chicken Cesear for 3.75 (excellent chicken, HUGE salad, eat half and save the rest for lunch the next day)
Non-Food: Toilet tissue, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, books

What's your favorite meatloaf recipe?

All-time best meatloaf recipe comes from Cooks Illustrated and has a packet of unflavored gelatine in it. Just Google "cooks illustrated meatloaf gelatine" and you will find it. I now always add a packet of unflavored gelatine to any meatloaf recipe. It gives the meatloaf a texture that is just perfect: moist, soft, juicy. Best kitchen trick of 2007.
