Worst in Toronto

I completely agree with Just Thai, I was so happy to find a thai place in the area. I had tofu pad thai for take out, the vegetables were cut so big that they werent cooked through, i practically had noodles drenched in sweet sauce with crudites on top. I was standing there after i placed the order, i was waiting for about 20 min, when they decided to give me my take out bag, that i saw sitting there for at least 15 min. And there was only two tables in the restaurant, two serer behind the bar chit chatting....

534 Church St, Toronto, ON M4Y2E1, CA

Thai options within a 10 minute walk of Yonge & College

that location its been closed for more than two years, after they opened up mengrai

Church St. - Sakura Karsai?

I will never go back, we spend $160 for two ate 8 to 9 items, to share. I am asian maybe thats the main reason i didn't find the items any exciting. The food is what my mom cooks at home. Nothing special, just a boring home meal with the excemption of msg. Many of the menu items are stewed in advanced, cold soup prepared in advanced, just scoop and served nicely. And after the expensive meal, we were not even half full, we had to stop by to gazale for a full meal. And that was satisfiying food!!! I don't know where the hype is coming....

Their eel risotto, was plain rice congee with eel that T&T sells for $5.00 for a big piece. So easy I am planning on making it at home one day!!

Korean restaurants in Toronto?

I just tried this new place on k town in downtown, called Henna or Hanna Gom Tang, right across the korean grocery store, they have the best hand cut noodles on a beef broth thats been simmering for more than 24 hr called gom tang, and i had their sliced pork with spicy daikon on the side that you wrap on a nappa leaves!! the BEST i have ever tried.!!!! TRUST ME!
Gom tang is like the chicken noodle soup for koreans, if you need that extra boost for your body that is coming down with cold or flu, thats what they eat! and it taste so good!

W Burger Bar, Yonge & College

Hubby and I went there for the first time two Sundays ago, its a very attractive looking place, clean lines, approachable and modern. And if you live in the area, you know there is not much choices for decent lunch on a sunday afternoon.

I appreciated the platter of veg crudite once we sit down, menu is simple, price reasonable with the unlimited toppings you can choose.

We ordered just a regular burger medium on a lettuce, with wasabi mayo and jalapeno and Bison burger, and chillie poutine to share

When we placed the order, other three tables were already served, they only had to prepare ours, as the kitchen is an open kitchen concept, you could see clearly that they were very hesitant with the order. Maybe new staffs??

My burger on a lettuce4:

Honestly, tasted like Taco Bell meat, dry and smelly. Lettuce was not fresh either.

Bison Burger,
Moisted, but the bread was cold and hard.

Poutine, it was fair.

I completely agree, with the uniforms!!! what? v neck super thin cotton pink shirts where you can see the wires of their bra with a short black mini skirt? I felt bad for the staffs that have to wear that, I will be super conscious all the time.

Bill came out around $50 dollars with two tap beer and a soft drink.

Will I go back? Only if i am dragged, and i am going to only order poutine and a soft drink

Toronto's top 50 restaurants

ORO ORO ORO!! THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD I VE EVER TRIED!! A MUST!

Oro or Opus

Well,.. they are both my fav restaurants in the city, if you are looking for a wide variety of wine i would go for opus.. but i personally enjoy oro better, a bit cheaper too!!

Vivoli on College Street

I agree with you, the food at vivoli is alright, but the patio setting in the summertime is actually really cozy. I haven't tried coco lezzone yet, but i would definetely try it out next time i am in the area!!

Downtown Cafes

I dont know any in that area, but if you are in little itlay, this place called "gato nero"
has the best cappucinos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

North 44 vs. Bymark?

I would definetely say North 44, food outstanding and service memorable....

Mengrai Thai...price?

Me and my girlfriend finally had the chance to visit the place. My expectations were high and the result was average. The food was better then many other places I tried, my favorite would definetely be the so called #54.
It was a special day for us trying to have a romantic evening out. First, a young male who seems the manager was coming over to our table to "check" and starring at my girlfriend chest in an uncomfortable way when we already had our server. Plus, since it was a special day for us (seeking for a romantic night out) was disturbed with all the cell phones rings and the owner talking loudly on the middle of the restaurant.
Overral, i would go back, but for take out only
