cutting edge food in Greece.
Are there any cutting edge restaurants for lunch near where cruise ships arrive in Navplion, Katakolon or Corfu? Eating all meals on the ship is not my idea of international exploration, and we eat Greek all the time here in Minneapolis. We'll have a group of four who can't walk far (1 on a walker, 1 in wheelchair but can climb stairs, 2 who can push and walk), and would hate for taxi to exceed cost of our lunch.

Which of these suggestions will be accessible to a group of 4 coming off cruise ship, with one 58 year old vegetarian in a wheelchair (although he can walk and climb stairs) and his 88 year old mother on a walker?? I'd hate for the taxi to cost more than the meal.
Chow near Italian cruise stops
In early June, four of us will have most of a day as our cruise stops in Livorno (Florence), Civitavecchia (Rome) and Messina Sicily plus a day and a half in Venice. With a vegetarian in a wheelchair (who can climb stairs and walk short distances with a cane) plus his 88 year old mother with a walker, can anyone suggest restaurants near enough to the docks that a taxi ride won't cost more than the luncheons. I haven't had time to peruse all the posts for the "if you only get one meal in ____, it should be ____" so that we can pursue something farther away that might be accessible from a tour bus, and we may get pushed back from the land tours that all leave early morning due to mobility issues, so that's why I'm hoping to find options close to where the ship (or its tenders) land.
