Neo-Enchiladas Suizas

I agree toodie jane, although this is in the quick catagory made for harried families with no time to cook, this recipe may taste good to someone but not me. I had to laugh at the recommended salsa @ 7 bucks a bottle. WTF kind of demographic ARE they catering to? Some of us on Chow aint quite got dat kinda cash.

If I was the adventurous sort, I would stop by the Navajo reservation diners and grab me some fry bread and mutton stew. Now if you aren't like that I am sure some Navajo tacos would hit the spot. Gallup, Tuba City and Shiprock are possible hidden gems. I have eaten along the way a few times but cannot remember any names. It has been awhile though. I lived in Durango for 30 years and I ve only eaten in Farmington a few times. Lotaburger and the flea market where they had little old navajo ladies making fry bread and tacos in the booth..brings back the memories. I guess I do miss it a bit.

Southwestern Fare in Santa Fe

Search the boards again. I think this subject has been hashed out so many times, no one wants to post again. Try Bobcat Bites.

Try Namaste for their lunch buffet. Only 6.95. Usually pretty good if you like Indian food. www.namasterestaurant.com

Colorado restaurants over 50 years old?

Well you better head over to the Buckhorn Exchange, otherwise you will never live it down if it is not included

Der Fondue Chessel Keystone (CO)

daves 32, I found this review although it is 3 years old. Most of the reviews I have read online are a bit disappointing but just google it if you want and you can decide yourself. hope this helps. P.S After looking, sounds overpriced and mediocre. http://www.denverpost.com/search/ci_0...

Christmas Restaurant Tour in Santa Fe

It's been awhile, a few years back, but I went to a great little New Mexican diner called Dave's Not Here, 1115 Hickox St. They are reasonably priced for gringo-ized mexican food and killer burgers. Which with my budget works great. Of course in Sante Fe, anything reasonably priced is a find.
