Downtown Denver -- 60th birthday brews and great food

A couple friends of mine and I will be doing a few days of backpacking in Colorado in early May and out last night will be in Denver. Our friend is turning 60 our last day there and we'd like to treat him to some great brews and food in downtown Denver. We looking for casual, not touristy, and really good food and beer. All cuisines price points are fine. We're just looking for a cool place to talk smack about our backpacking trip and one of the guys turning 60. If there's a really great place outside of downtown, but not too far from downtown, we're ok with that too as we do have a car, but would prefer not to use it if you know what I mean.

IHOP at corner of Fairfax Drive and N. Stafford St. Also, Mary's Cafe in the NRECA building right behind the Westin is a good place for decent breakfast stuff. The NRECA building is at the corner of N. Taylor and Wilson.

Taking my Mom out for dinner is a challenge these days, but one thing she really likes is quiche. We make her quiche at our house, but when we want to take her out to eat its challenging to find places that offer it for dinner.

Dinner options near Hilton Bayfront at 1 Park Blvd near Petco Park

Looking for dinner options for tomorrow night for a few work colleagues. We're staying at the Hilton Bayfront whch is across the main road from Petco Park. Looking for casual place, but excellent food. Want to go to a place -- if it exists -- that isn't a tourist oriented place. Not concerned about price, just want a really good meal -- all cuisines are good. We will likely want a bottle or two of good wine and maybe some good seafood on the menu. Someplace where we can sit at the bar for a bit before and/or after dinner for a few drinks would be great too. Walking distance -- 15 mins or so would be great.

I will be staying at the Arizona Grand Resort right near South Mountain Park in a couple of weeks and I'm looking for good casual dinner locations nearby. A good place for a couple of drinks and then dinner with a colleague. Looking for good quality non-chain restaurant. Walking distance from the resort would be great, but that doesn't look very likely. All cuisines are good, but anything local that's worth visiting is good with me. We can take a cab ride too if its worth the cost of the cab fare.

The Ray's the Steaks website say that Retro Ray's is now open adjacent to Ray's the Steaks in Arlington -- first come, first served. Anyone know anything about it? Is this the wine bar/price fixe restaurant that was rumored to be in the works?

Virginia Highland area -- place to chill out Sunday afternoon and evening

Was hoping to spend late Sunday afternoon and evening in the Virginia Highlands area with a friend before my meetings start on Monday in the Buckhead area.

Looking for a place to grab a light bite to eat and some drinks for the late afternoon -- not necessarily a sports bar, but that's ok too. Primarily some place comfy and relaxing. Outdoor seating is cool too if the weather is good.

Then looking for a good, but laid back jeans kind of place for dinner in the same area. Open to all cuisines and price points, but want quality food.

Look forward to checking out this part of Atlanta -- and some good drinks and food as well.

I will be staying at the Marriott Pinnacle at 1128 W. Hastings in a couple of weeks and will be looking for some good dinner and drinks options. I'm not looking for tourist destinations, but cool places to hang out for a while to grab a few drinks with a close friend and then dinner. Can grab drinks at one place and dinner at another, but one place for both would be good too. Can be a dive kind of place or just a good comfy/cozy place to hang out. Would be good to also to be able to hold a conversation without having to yell. We will be casually dressed -- nice jeans/shirts. Any cuisine is cool and not concerned with $$. Just want a nice/cool place to hang out for a while.

If its walking distance from the Marriott that would be great or anywhere between the Marriott and Stanley Park would be great.

Will be staying at the Crowne Plaza and attending meetings at Exelon next week and will have several opportunities for dinners and breakfast. Staying near Denver airport, but have one night to go downtown Denver for dinner

We are staying at the Crowne Plaza in the hotel zone (no man's land) between the Denver airport and downtown Denver. We have a car and time for one dinner in town. We are looking for mid-range price ($20 to $25 entree) and very good food -- all cuisines are ok. Where should we go for a nice drink or two and a great dinner in a casual atmosphere?
