Sunday dinner tonight w/ kids

Okay I have done some research and realize how broad of a request I left it....sorry about that. We are staying on Pine and have quick access to the Powell Cable car so if could ride that to dinner that would be great. I am an aspiring foodie and would love to try something really good, but don't really want fine dining tonight. When we rode the cable car to the warf the other night saw some cute little places, and if anyone has recs on which of those to try I would be obliged. We are going to be a party of 4 adults and the 3 kids.
Again please help and thanks!!

Sunday dinner tonight w/ kids

I know that this post is short notice, but I thought that I would give it a try. I am looking for a moderate priced place that is fairly kid friendly. The kids are infant, 2 and 4, but have been out to restaurants, well behaved and are good eaters. We are staying on Nob Hill but will travel around the city for good food. We are open to eating lots of different kinds of foods, but were hoping for somewhere that uses really fresh ingredients in innovative ways. No Asian types unless they are in a fusion.

Not sure what you guys have on such short notice, but thanks for trying!

Bunco Party Hors D'Oeuvres

Thanks everybody for the great ideas I can't wait to try them at the next party!

Are there any Klamath Falls Hounds out there?

I actually had lunch yesterday at Tobiko with some friends. I thought it was very good, although it was my first experience with sushi. It was very resonable and good service. I would definately eat there again and I am still looking foreward to Bel Tramonto.

Are there any Klamath Falls Hounds out there?

I was just wondering if anyone had any recent experience with either Bel Tramonto or Tobiko? I looked in previous threads and found good things about both and wanted to see if anyone had anyting new to report. Klamath is the closest big town to me and I am looking for a really good meal. Thanks for your help.

Bunco Party Hors D'Oeuvres

I was actually thinking of something along the lines of your turnovers, but was not sure about how to make the filling. Did you just use diced ham and swiss and then bake it or is there more to it?

Bunco Party Hors D'Oeuvres

I am hosting Bunco party this week and Spring is my theme. We normally do a few snacks and then a dessert. My dessert is going to be homemade ice cream sandwiches, raspberry ice cream w/ sugar cookie and chocolate ice cream and peanut butter cookies. We don't do dinner, so for the snacks I would like to do at least one that is substantial. I was thinking crudite with some dip (that is not ranch dressing), fruit with dulce de leche dip and something else. I have done a ham and cheese tortilla wrap, but I am looking for something new. So any help you could give me would be great!

Punch recipe for a Bunco Party

I am looking for a punch I can make in a big batch (there are 12 women) before the party. I want something that is not too sweet, but doesn't taste real strong (although I don't care if it is!) My theme is Spring so I was thinking something a little fruity or fresh tasting. Thank you for your help.

What is the best dip you ever had and the recipe?

I do this one too, but add 1 small can of drained, chopped green chiles and about 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese.

My brand new LODGE cast iron pan

I clean my frying pan and dutch oven by boiling water in them for a few minutes, rinsing and drying them on a hot stove. When the water has evaporated I add a little veg oil and wipe it in with a paper towel and let cool.
I think this helps keep the seasoning in them.

Help! I need a recipe for a sandwich roll

Sorry there was no message my son was hitting the buttons :) I need a recipe for rolls for pulled pork sandwiches. Because of where I live going to the store and getting some is not an option. And I need to get started because I am hoping to use them for dinner tonight. Thanks for your help!

Help with pairings for NapaStyle wine gift

Thank you Mike! This was just what I was hoping for. I was also thinking of taking Viki's advice and trying to do two dinners using half the wines each time. What do you think?

Help with pairings for NapaStyle wine gift

I bought the Cucina Selection wine gift from NapaStyle with plans to do a paired dinner for 6 with the recipes provided. But with the exception of the of the ribs with the Pinot Meunier we were not excited about the paired recipes we got. Here is the link to the wines we were sent and the notes and recipes for each one http://www.napastylewineclub.com/pop_.... I am new to wine and would love any help you could give me on food or cheese pairing for these wines.
