For a party of around 25 teenage girls I would recommend Spring Rolls at Yonge and Eglington or Bay and Dundas.I know there are not many fans of Spring Rolls on Chowhound but I know teenagers that love it. They will take reservations, Very easy to get to by car or transit. Under 25/per person. |

Something different downtown AND a deli Hi Foodienorth,Where are you coming in from?I would like to make a couple of reccomendations to your odd/different request but knowing where your from might help.As for Deli if you want to check out Katzs deli you can take the subway to Yorkdale mall from downtown and then walk/cab from there. |

Hey Deelicious Im glad you enjoyed it I`m sure alot of people do.I used to be a regular now I just can`t justify how I saw portion size shrink and prices go up.Most of their main courses came with their "famous" cole slaw that was brought out first. Then they shrunk the size and stuck it on the plate with the entree thus cutting back on the fries. Now its served in a thimble! |

The Pickle Barrel...Bottom of the barrel .Growing up, It`s landmark Leslie street location was an institution.Since they started to expand into a chain and stray from there oringinal deli style roots things have gotten really bad.Higher prices, way smaller portions, bad service and a menu that tries to be everything to everyone. |

Where can I find organic beef stock I am actually attempting to make a recipe that calls for beef stock.I don`t want to use the canned super market stuff and I would prefer organic.Does anybody know of a place in the city that sells it? |

Good grub Persian Yonge-Steeles Recomend? I had a great dinner at Tanoor. After reading a review in the Toronto Star I wanted to check it out.We had the chicken Kabobs with rice and they were fantastic.I do not know what kind of exotic spices the chicken breast was marinated in but it was very tender, juicy and moist. The portions were also huge.We also had the hummus and babbaganoush dips with fresh backed naan. The service was attentive and the decor was secondary to the food. They do have an inclosed glass room were you can smoke a very large hooka (water pipe) with flavored tabacco. I`m going to try it next time forsure! |
