Dinner for 13 downtown Endymion Saturday

Thanks for the suggestions. I was able to get a table at Broussard's. Has anyone been there since they have reopened?

Dinner for 13 downtown Endymion Saturday

Need some suggestions for a group dinner for March 1. We originally had reservations at Marti's but went there last night and was not impressed. We have tried Revolution, Peche, Fins, Stella and all are booked. It needs to be somewhere in the FQ, CBD or WD as the guys will be doing the Top Hat and Tails Stroll that afternoon. What about any of the private rooms at Antoine's? We also really want good food. Thanks.

Dinner for 10 [London]

Our book group will be traveling to London the end of October. We will have 4 nights for dinner and already have dinner reservations at Nopi for 1 of those nights. Our problem is getting tables large enough for 10. We wanted to eat at Locanda Locatelli but their largest table is for 8. We don't mind splitting up but would like one "special" meal (since this is our 20th anniversary) to be together. Any suggestions? Location and cost is not a matter. Thank you.

Dining alone in Paris

I will be in Paris the first week of November. I am staying at the Hotel Verneuil on the left bank but willing to go pretty much anywhere. I don't have any monetary constraints but would like to feel comfortable eating alone. Any recommendations would be welcome. Thanks

Restaurants outside of New Orleans

We have been visiting New Orleans for one month now (with one more to go). I have eaten at great restaurants Brightsen's, Cochon, Herbsaint, Stella, August (not great but very good) etc. and not such great restaurants - Luke for us was not very good but maybe it was an off night.

We would like to get outside of New Orleans to try something different. What are the places that we should try? We would like to go to the bayou. Is there any there that you would recommend? We have a car so we could travel most anywhere.

By the way Brightsen's is on fire right now. The food is the best I have ever had there and to me it is always good!!

Thanks,
Stephanie

Resto, Madison - review

We dined at Resto last evening and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The menu entries all looked terrific, making it difficult to choose. But we too had the radicccio and quince salad and concur that it was fabulous. My husband had the pork chop and I had the pork osso bucco special and both were delicious. The sauces are light, fresh and different from the usual fare. Staff was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable but not overbearing. Prices were also reasonable, around a $110 with tax and tip. Spread the word to friends. We need a place like this in Madison.

Dinner Plans in Rome

My husband and I are leaving for Rome next Friday and am dizzy with all the information from this Board, Guide Books and Zagats. I have managed to come up with the following list and would like your suggestions/comments.

Sat. Piperino
Sun. Ambasciata d'Abruzzo (not very many open)
Mon. Matricianella
Tues. Day trip out of Rome
Wed. Agata e Romeo
Thurs. Either Colline Emiliane or L'Alto Mastai - what do you think?
Fri. Antico Arco

We are staying at Il Palazzetto near the Spanish Steps for a week and then in Positano for another week.

We have not been to Rome for 6 years and that was with 3 children. We ate well then but we can now go to a few more sophisticated restaurants.

Thanks in advance for you help and comments. Will report when I return.

Looking for Shrimp and Grits

I was at Cafe Adeleine (sp?) this past week. They had delicious Shrimp and Grits. It is located in the Lowe's hotel.
