New Orleans for our 20th Wedding Anniversary

Get your room soon. NOLA books up for festivals, conventions and sporting events. I would try to plan on a weekend the Saints are out of town unless you want to see a game. I would have the anniversary dinner at Commander's Palace in the GD. Ask for a table in the Garden Room overlooking the courtyard in the corner next to the big oak tree. I would include Muriel's and Galatoire's for dinner as well as Emeril's. Stella is outstanding also. Clancy's is one of the best places in town but it's a cab ride Uptown. Go to Acme, Felix's, Johnny's and Napoleon House for lunch. You won't need a car. Cabs are inexpensive and the street car will get you to most places.

Quantico, VA BBQ..........

My son is at Quantico. Is there any good BBQ joints or soul food in the area near Quantico. Thanks.

Clancy's is one of my favorite NOLA restaurants. It's Uptown near Audubun Park but it's 10 blocks or so off St. Charles. You will enjoy it.

New Orleans on Mother's Day

If you want to dine in the FQ go to Antoine's, Muriel's or Arnaud's for Sunday Jazz Brunch. I like Muriel's the best. Be sure to check out Hermes Bar at Antoine's or French 75 Bar at Arnaud's. Mr. B's has an outstanding Sunday Jazz Brunch. It's across from Hotel Monteleone.
In Mid City near City Park is Ralph's which has a fine SB and outdoor dining. If you go to the GD or Uptown go to Coquette or Patois for Sunday Brunch. Cafe Atchafalaya has a Sunday Jazz Brunch. I really like CA. It's a unique neighborhood restaurant near the Irish Channel W of the GD.
