Business dinner - 10-12 people downtown?

I have a group of clients that I need to entertain in the miracle mile / downtown area next month. I'm looking for nice to very nice and a private room if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Entertaining a friend tomorrow in LA and she LOVES horseradish (i try not to judge :))

I thought Phillpe's mustard / dip or Canter's deli. I'm stumped. Any suggestions? I'm open to horesradish creme, foam, accents. Help!

Recommendations for a Business / private room dinner in Downtown ATL?

Hi -

I'm hosting about 15 dentists in a few weeks - not Foddies per se but they have high expectations about wine and service. Can anyone recommend a location with a private room / dining that they really like?

Thanks very much!

"Foodie" dining in Vegas w/ a 5 yr old.

My wife, son and I will be in Vegas for a long weekend on 12/17. We really enjoy dining out and have not been to Vegas in about 2 years. Some of our "old" favorites are Bradley Ogden, Picasso, Bartolatta, etc.

We've recently began to take our son to eat and he typically does very well for sittings of about an hour or so. My question to the board would be what restaurants from an atmosphere and service profile would best combine our desire to eat well at dinner and not be too challenging for our son?

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Rehearsal Dinner On Kauai

Sounds like a nice time! My sister was married at the Hyatt and had an outdoor dinner on the beachside lawn. It was lovely and catered from Tidepools.

May be worth investigating.

Kaui and Big Island help...

Best of luck to you both! I'm from the mainland but proud to say I've been to Kauai every year since 1983. It's simply my favorite place and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Attached are a few suggestions for food that I really enjoy:

($ - Inexpensive, $$ - Moderate, $$$ - Wow, make sure there is plenty of room on the credit card)

Roys Poipu Grill **** ($$$) Great for a "splurge" dinner - be sure to order the molten chocolate cake for dessert
Duane's Char Ono Burger ($) **** - The best hamburgers in the whole state! Best of all it's on the way to Princeville from the airport
The Beach House (Lawai) ***($$$) -Great view - stay with the grilled fish and you won't be dissapinted. Go at Sunset!
Tropical Taco (Hanalei) *** ($) - This is a Kauai institution. Roger (the Owner) used to drive around the island in a big green truck looking for surf and selling tacos. He's now in a building on the main drag, but the tacos are just as good - hint: you can BYOB from the liquor store across the street.
Puka Dog (Poipu)- ***($) in the same Poipu shopping center as Roy's this hole in the wall serves funky dogs with great toppings. Perfect car food or to take to the beach.
Hamura Saimin (Lihue)– **** ($) Downtown Lihue. A “local” favorite for noodle soup and great grilled chicken / beef skewers. Sit at the counter!

Aloha and good luck!

Which Allen Wongs in HI?

Ditto on most of the posts - you should do both as they are certainly different experiences. King St. is my favorite restaurant, bar none. However TPR has it's own flavor and a well executed menu.

If you are going to other islands - try the grill at the Four Seasons on the Big Island. Alan's team is doing a great job there. Very similar to TPR in terms of menu - but a casual, outdoor vibe overlooking the gold course. We eally enjoyed it.

Aloha!

Momofuku New Space

I dined there about 3 weeks ago and had a bit of everything BUT the Ramen. By far the best dish I tried was the Veal sweetbreads. Absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked with a firm yet not overpowering coating. Served with a slightly sweet dipping sauce - these are perhaps the best starter I've tried all year.
