Off- Strip Dive Bars/ Las Vegas
We just got back to Chicago, after a week in Las Vegas, and I know what you mean! We really liked Steiner's also. It's open 24/7, and it's a few miles South of the strip, on Las Vegas Blvd. The menu is big, and classic rock was playing on the radio. It's kind of like a sports bar. I can't remember what beers cost, but our bill for 2 was $40 (Philly chicken sandwich, reuben sandwich, and a few beers). We stayed at the Grandview, and with the strip being so crowded due to New Year's week, we preferred various casinos of the strip....Green Valley Ranch had a decent buffett, and we liked Silverton and Southpoint. Southpoint's oyster bar was pretty good too.
Paris Buffet and Musashi--What do you know?
We'll be in Las Vegas from 12/28-1/4, and we've heard good things about the Paris Buffet and Musashi.
Has anyone been to either one of these places? What did you think?
Thanks!
Vegas Mexican and BBQ
Yes! The Grand Lux is good! They have a bit of everything, and the prices are reasonable. They also own The Cheesecake Factory, which is popular in Chicago.
Vegas Mexican and BBQ
Ellis Island.....good barbeque, especially the ribs. And, it's a great value. They have great beers on tap too. The wait is long, but there are a ton of video poker machines, so the time went quickly for us :)
Las vegas, any new dessert places...?
VegasMike...the place in the Bellagio is Jean-Philippe Patisserie, and yes, good choice!
