I have to agree with Petrossian , they sell out fast , which is sort of a blessing as I could eat these everyday.

Maialino Restaurant Week Menu
Went to rest week for lunch here yesterday. We both went with the 35.00 menu as there were more options. Had the fried artichokes and seared octupus , both were very good and went well with each other , as we shared everything. The braised suckling pig was exceptional , came with a wide paste and lemon parmesean butter sauce that you could eat by the bowl. Other entree was braised lamb , which was good but not anything exceptional. Choco torte wa so rich and light at the same time. Lemon bread pudding was not good - was not sweet or cakey , was the only real miss. Wines by the glass were very good and they were only 5.00 which was great.
overall a very good lunch , still came to almost 100 before tip.

I just asked on NYC board , is there a good fish monger - oyster seller somewhere along the Thruway from NYC to south of Albany. Need oysters for a party and not looking to go broke in getting them. Would also like to have a nice place to regularly stop to get some fish.

Visiting Barcelona for three days with 5 year old
Everyone on here is very quick.
It all sounds very good - I really dont need to bring him to real bars just dont want to miss out on the vibe of the city. Just want to be able to have a glass of wine and relax. He'll be ahppy yo have a glass of juice with us.As far as eating late since we will be coming from NY I dont think this will be a problem just slide the schedule back.
I will make sure to go out later - dont want to be put in the geezer category.

Visiting Barcelona for three days with 5 year old

I have read over every post that pertains to Barcelona and made notes however I do not see any mention of going to dinner with a child. Although he is well behaved ( who says their kid is anything but) and has been going out to dinner in New York City since he was born dont know how welcome he would be in most restaurants. We are not looking to go high end , looking more casual typical restaurants.
In our three days we want to try and get the best sense of the cuisine. This would be tapas , paella and local drinking scene, Would it be OK to bring in a child to most bars ? Not looking for nightclub type places.

the patio at Lombardis on Sprint St is great . It was very reasonable and prob had about 20 people for a bday party.

The best price that I have found is from freshdirect. You have to buy an entire lobe but for six it will be worth it. usually 39.99 pound.

A day in NYC, Carnegie deli, Wicked, and Indian w/kids
Went to Carnegie the other day and could not have been less impressed. Live around the corner but do not go here often. The server simply not interested in helping us . The pastrami was pretty bad as well - not just not great - if that makes sense. Would def look elsewhere if possible.
Bar recommendation near Carnegie Hall
the entrance to the parker meridian is a nice place to sit and have a drink. Its sort of a hallway but still pleasant. Altho I am sure this is too late.

Barn Wedding in upper Hudson/Berkshires?
Been to a couple of weddings in barns, Gedney farm and another one in NYS thats name escapes me., but both were more finished - not so rustic. We had our 10th anniversary in our barn , which used to be a working barn so it was much more rustic . Roasted a pig and had pizza in the wood fired oven. If interested I could send you some pics.
